It's great, I love it, and so do my cats/cat. (One passed within a month of getting the house.I should have gotten this years ago. We had a heating pad for the cats that were situated under a covered pagoda. But when it was blustery, they still could get wet. It's off the ground so it stay warm and dry. no fighting with the cold cement.I bought this one because of the way the two doors were configured. I wanted the house against my house and most of the other cat houses had their door on the opposite sides from each other. The one thing that I do wish is if I could remove the doors/plastic closure altogether. My cats don't like to be closed in, so I have the doors tucked up into the roof. Even if they weren't claustrophobic, I would want both doors to be in/out doors. One of the doors is and out door only. I understand why, but for my cat, this is what would work best.There is a room divider with a opening/door where the gable of the house is. Not sure what that room is for, but, my cats never bonded and only tolerated each other, so if one was in the house, the other wouldn't use it. So, I removed the wall. (it's velcro'd in) and put my heating cat pad that is just a tad larger that the one that comes with the house and fits the larger area better and put the one that came with the house in the smaller gable area for the other cat. Problem solved.Yes, we have raccoons and opossums that come into our backyard all the time; raccoons, nightly, but they never bother the cat, other than get her watering fountain muddy and drag the rug she sits on when she isn't in the house, into the grass and plays with it like it is it's long lost girlfriend.Anyway, this house is great. Our cats are/were 15 & 18 and refuse to stay in the house after we had the 18yr olds brother put down a couple of years ago, so this is the next best thing.

THIS IS JUNK!!!!!!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS!!!! This is by far one of the poorest designs I have ever seen for anything. Literally, no thought has been put into designing this thing. The sides at the bottom do NOT attach to the frame, the floor does NOT get covered completely, leaving open patches for the cold air to get in, the heating mat is an absolute piece of junk, so THIN and the cover is also super Thin and the cable is only half way covered with protective and water proof coat.

Great warm cat house. Cats love it and so do local racoon. Very roomy for larger animals. Two doors are nice if you have cats that like to ambush each other. The floor is heated only in the large room. The heater has a timer if you wish and 1-9 temperature range & can be turned off entirely.A bit challenging to assemble. There are better ways than the instructions show, like:Put feet caps on the leg pieces as step 1Make sure you seat the various tubes all the way into the connectors. It will help to keep the pieces square, which will affect the velcro walls/floor attachment. Though you will probably still need to adjust later.Dont strap the units together until AFTER you have done the floors on both units.Also add tape (as in duct or electrical) on the vertical tubes to stabilize securing the 2 units together. Dont rely solely on the provided straps.As most of this is velcro attached, be prepared to adjust, readjust and readjust again as you proceed. It's easy to get the various pieces out of alignment.

Cheap, is smaller than it looks and doesn't fit most cat sizes well. Also doesn't do much good to keep warm for protection from the cold. Not enough room for more than 1 cat if the cat is small and nothing else. The doors are not good, the don't keep closed and they came with a crease that left one unable to even work right. Heating pad worked fine until the outside temps made the shelter too cold for it to even warm it. Only thing good about it was the ease of installing.

My stray cat loves it. I feel better he is warm outside. Ty. This is great.

I would NOT recommend this item. The canvas doesn't fit completely around the body of the cat house. Also, the "floor" of the house is not large enough to completely cover/seal it. The corners of the floor don't touch the sides so there are large gaps, allowing cold air to flow inside. Cats are not protected from the outside elements.

Overall this is a cool little cat house. To be honest, I haven’t tested it outside, but I’m not sure how long something like this would last outdoors in my area, where it can be quite windy.For an indoor heated cat house, I find it pretty interesting. The insides have a very thin layer of insulation which helps retain some of the heat from the heating pad. Construction is a bunch of plastic tubing and connectors, with the rest of the attachment being Velcro, which I found to be an interesting design, but it’s quite sturdy and easy to assemble.I do feel it’s a bit pricey for what it is, given that it would be very susceptible to wind. The design does lend itself well to being water resistant if used in rain, however, and there’s enough space for 2 medium cats, or a large one and a kitten in the main compartment. I’m not sure my larger cat is able to fit through the internal divider.The heating pad just seems to be a standard cheap pet heating pad, but it does allow you to leave it on constantly at a low setting if desired.

It actually allows water inside when it rains.
