Since moving into an apartment that does not have entirely level floors we've had problems getting accurate and consistent readings from our now-previous scale. We decided it was time to get a replacement and I sought out one that would work well on uneven surfaces. This was one of the first scales to come up in my search and since we both liked the design, I ordered it. While we received an obvious return (the batteries were floating around loose inside) the scale still looked new and lit up on first use without issue, so we went on to test it for accuracy.While I haven't used a weight to calibrate the scale I do believe it's fairly accurate right out of the box. (Edit: We weighed our dog ahead of his vet appointment a few days ago and the weight precisely matched the vets scale!) I have noticed that the first time that I step onto the scale it overestimates my weight by a few pound, but from the second measurement on it remains completely consistent. So, I always step on and get that first measurement out of the way, doublecheck that it's on a mostly level surface and then step back on. It remains fairly accurate even when I move it into a different room, once that first measurement is out of the way. This scale is far more accurate and consistent than our previous scale despite our uneven floors.Speaking of which... this really is a very nice looking scale. We chose the one listed as blue, but noticed in the images on Amazon the color leaned more purple. We weren't really sure what to expect as a result. The color is rich cobalt blue. This doesn't interfere with the scales readability at all though. I find the measurements very easy to read. I also quite like that I can get my measurement in both pounds and kilograms. This is quite handy since some of the sports related apps that I am on use metric and others imperial.As one other reviewer noted, this scale is not both digital and analog. It is fully digital and will not work without batteries installed. I don't really see this as a drawback, but it is something to be aware of before purchase. If you're looking for a dual analog/digital scale, this one isn't it. But, if you're ok with a fully digital scale with an analog-style readout in both imperial and metric this one is hard to beat.The build quality, appearance, and reliability make this scale a good value for the current price point (around $40 USD). It surpasses other scales in this price range and also more expensive scales that we've owned in the past. We're quite happy with this scale and will definitely be keeping it.

Other reviewers comments are 5 Stars, but my scale does not deserve those kinds of stars. My story/review....I badly broke my arm and it was the beginning of winter. I was unable to work out, nor walk outside due to the possibility of another fall. I knew I gained a couple of pounds and wanted to have a better way to keep track, instead of gauging by how my clothes fit since I was living in sweatpants. First weigh in and I was not happy, but confirmed I did gain a few pounds. With my cast finally off after 3 months, I started eating less and walking again. My pants felt looser. The scale continued to display the same weight. I decided to pick up additional items while I was on scale and I remained the same weight. After a week or so, I thought this does not seem right. I got off and back on the scale with a bunch of items in my hands and I was the same weight. I put a heavy item on the scale (3 or 5 pound item) and the scale did not light up or display any numbers. After about 4 more "experiments" my weight dropped on the scale. This has happened multiple times. I do not trust a scale that I have to get on and off multiple times to finally get a weight that is satisfactory to me. I really do like the look of this scale. The large display, which is both analog and digital was one of the reasons I decided to purchase it. No cheating when a number is flashing in front of my eyes. I paid more money than I wanted too because of the "old fashion vibe" of the design and now I am bummed that it does not seem to work and I still have no idea how much I weigh. Again this is my honest review...others seem to love the scale.

Great scale. I love it. It's a beautiful scale and matches the picture. I love that it's an electric mechanical scale. The first one I ordered stopped working correctly so I emailed the customer support email listed in the manual. They got back to me really quick and said they requested a new one to be sent to me. I didn't have to return the one I had, I only needed to recycle it upon their request. Although this scale compared to my actual mechanical scale, this one is 5 pounds off and I'm not sure why.

I got this in case the battery dies I can still get my weight with the analog scale. But like the digital weight as more precise. It’s very helpful when I weight my dog who’s on a diet. I weigh me then me holding him and subtract. Gives a very precise weight eg 33.5 pounds.Nice blue collar. Not bulky. I think it’s a good deal for cash spent. I’d buy again

I love this weighing scale, so easy to read with the large digital analog display… It’s stylish and fits well with my minimalist look. There was a slight issue with the scale I purchased. (First weigh-in was a few pounds over actual weight. Upon getting off and returning, the weigh-in was correct. This would happen each time the scale was allowed enough downtime.) I used the email available to customers in the user manual to report any issues. The company followed up with an immediate response apologizing for any inconvenience and sent me a new one arriving in just three days. The new one works perfectly. I also want to say the scales' function and design are awesome, and the price is amazingly affordable for the quality.
