I own a number of Anpviz cameras and find them to be great quality at a very reasonable price. This one has nice color night vision and good image quality. The housing feels substantial as it is all metal. I connected it using ONVIF to a Hikvision NVR and the set up process was very simple. For the night vision, I use the “Pure White Light” mode in places that it is totally dark. I posted pictures with the lights on and off to share the comparison. It is basically like an LED flashlight is on all the time when it is dark in this mode. It switches off when the room lights are on.I tweaked the settings to turn off the object recognition as I sometimes see a lag with it active. Perhaps a later firmware update will improve this. Adjusting the camera angle when installing requires a couple of allen wrenches. The one for the base is included, but I needed another one to adjust where the base joins the housing as the head is a different size. Seemed to be standard metric. For the money, this is very hard to beat. I would buy it again.
Camera works great, it was easy to set up and my NVR played nicely with it. The metal construction makes it feel like a tank! One issue I discovered was that it only has freedom of movement on both axis if your mounting it on a ceiling. Mounting on a side wall then you can go up and down but not left and right unless you want your video to be off horizon. It's ok for us though as we used the rafters holding up the roof.Video quality is great during the day but night vision at a distance is a little grainy. Overall, it does a great job!
This camera was very easy to setup and includes a real manual which I prefer for every device. The housing is heavy duty (not plastic) & waterproof with awesome 4mp picture quality. It is a POE camera but also has a standard waterproof plug if you want to run 12V to it. Camera is well packed with protective film over lens (see pic). You can use the included ONVIF protocol to record/view or use the VideoLink which works with Anpviz cameras. Highly recommend this camera, can't beat the bang for the buck! I plan on getting another one for my back door!
I am using the Anpviz 4MP Bullet PoE IP Camera with my DVR surveillance system connected via a POE Ethernet switch. The video quality from the camera is excellent. The camera comes preconfigured to use DHCP, so initial configuration was straightforward – once I found the IP address allocated for the camera, I was immediately able to my DVR system. According to the website, the camera is rated IP66 (even better than IP65). I suspect this is the case, but there is nothing printed on the box or in any of the documentation included to indicate this. It does have a waterproof connector for Ethernet, which seems to back up the IP66 rating.I have not had great luck with the Anpviz application (IPCTools) which I downloaded from the Anpviz website. The tool finds and connects to the camera without difficulty. I was able to configure a different name for the camera and update the password, but I’ve not been able to change the time shown by the camera. It seems to understand that the time zone and time have been changed, but the video still shows the original timestamp rather than local time.A couple of other things to be aware of: 1) the threaded end cap and wide washer that are part of the waterproof Ethernet connection do not fit over an RJ45 connector – so you need to install these on your Ethernet cable before attaching the an RJ45 connector; and 2) there is not an obvious way to remove the Ethernet pigtail from the camera – and the pigtail needs to be in place to install the camera. This means the camera is left hanging by the pigtail when the base is screwed into place as part of installing the camera, which feels a bit uncomfortable until the first screw is in place.Overall, I’m happy with the camera though and would consider buying an additional one.
Easy to install, high quality picture and images.
This 4MP Bullet PoE IP Security Camera with Smart Dual Light Color Night Vision by Anpviz offers a lot of features. Full Metal construction, Wired PoE support and regular 12V input, AI Human Motion Detection, IP66 for Indoor/Outdoor use, Built in Mic, and is compliant with NDAA (federal regulations).Setting up the camera was easy, I didn't use their utility, I just found the DCHP assigned IP address and connected to the camera directly. The default login is admin and 123456, be sure to change that! The web interface upon logging in immediately complains about a missing plugin. I didn't find this to actually be needed, I just ignore it and everything still works. I tweaked my camera settings a bit for both the primary and secondary streams and I get both great image quality, low CPU usage from my web client, and low bandwidth on the second stream. See my pictures for the one with my settings screenshot. On my gigabit network I get nearly real-time with minimal delay, this is a massive improvement over my WiFi cameras which have several seconds of delay. In my initial test in a nearly pitch black room in almost total darkness, the camera can see almost as if it were day. I am quite happy with the quality here. The lights are fully adjustable in the settings, once I mount the camera outside I can really dial that in. The image quality far surpasses my existing WiFi cameras, I think it's going to be worth the effort to wire up an Ethernet cable for PoE (which works great from a pretty basic PoE switch and there is an LED indicator to show PoE status).
In short, this is a reliable and easy add-on camera for my setup.I did not even hesitate to request this because I have been using various PoE models from Anpviz over the past year with very positive experience. (I set these up around the charity building where I volunteer). In short, these are very cost-effective cameras that are easy to add on if you already have a PoE setup. I am saying that in terms of overall value for the price, not that this is the absolute best image quality on the market. But for what you pay, I think Anpviz continues to do a very solid job.The housing material gives this camera a sturdy feel right away, and it seems much more durable than many cheaper plastic options. Since it is rated IP66, I would feel comfortable using it both indoors and outdoors (these are set up outdoors for my purpose). The setup was straightforward because I was just adding this one to the existing PoE camera setup, and once connected, it worked nicely with my existing Anpviz cameras. What I like most about Anpviz cameras is that the image looks clear enough for normal home or property monitoring, especially for identifying people and checking general activity around an entrance, driveway, or side area. of the building. The dual light night vision is also a nice feature. I still prefer good external lighting whenever possible, but this definitely helps at night and gives a more usable color image than basic black and white night footage alone. The human detection feature is another plus because it helps reduce some pointless alerts compared to older motion detection styles. No camera detection system is perfect, but this one seems useful enough for everyday monitoring. For anyone already invested in PoE, wired cameras like this are still my preference over constantly dealing with batteries and spotty wireless behavior. In sum, if you want a dependable wired camera from a brand that has been consistently good in my experience, this is a strong option for the price. As long as it holds up well over time like my other Anpviz units, I would consider this another good pick from them.
Needed POE but mine doesn’t have 12v; wish the description was more elaborate. I now have to get power to it
