I am super happy with this stereo. It has Bluetooth for hands free calls and phone access. Bluetooth calls are clear, although they sound a bit more distant than phone access to the person calling-might be fixable with an external mic but the issue isn't significant enough for me at this point to investigate. Has USB port on face. Aux on face. Works well with my Samsung phone -spotify, audio books, podcasts, etc. All digital-no stupid CD player. Ordered a dash install kit and updated my older Nissan Frontier radio. Three dim options for the lighting, medium works perfectly for me. It took me a bit to figure out the controls, but after getting the hang of it, pretty easy but accidently hitting the wrong button can lead to a bit a frustration. Has a remote control.

A good basic no frills vehicle radio.Tuning sensitivity is pretty darn good, and likely better than some current vehicle radios. (eg. Tuning sensitivity, SNR, ...)I had soldered a Sony wiring harness adapter for my Ford vehicle, so I had an easy time switching radios. As usual with vehicle radios, you'll need to acquire an adapter harness specific for your vehicle maker and splice/solder into the included Sony wiring harness adapter.I have not yet tried the following:1) USB media2) Satellite radioPROS1) No frills basic radio!2) Good tuning sensitivity!CONS1) The dimmest brightness settings is still not dim enough during night driving. (I had this same complaint with a prior Sony car radio model three or so years ago, and wrote within my review placing a piece of cut black electrical tape over the lit "bass boost" button tends to reduce overall brightness.)2) Oddly, no multiple color LEDs. (Your interior lighting will not match if your vehicle interior lights are not dark blue.) However, for me, AM/FM tuning sensitivity is far more important!3) No 24 hour time format. And the 12/24 hour time clock does not display at the same time other information displays! (Would be nice if the clock moved to a smaller clock to the side or bottom corner of the display, while other info is displayed/toggled!)3) Even though the face of the radio seems generic with all vehicle radio makers these days, I still do not like it. I find it difficult to feel/touch navigate blindly while driving. (Minor concern.)4) Does not support basic PCM WAV format, when using USB flash media! The only next best lossless codec supported is FLAC. (Guess I have to transcode my entire music collection again.) Does support AAC M4A formatted audio, but the AAC codec is intended for media transported over the network, lacking high fidelity of PCM WAV.5) Not sure if there's a mic input on the back of this radio, but the manual talks quite a bit about hands free phone calls. Guessing users can attach a Bluetooth headset/microphone? (Minor concern.)

I hooked it up today and I am absolutely stunned with the Audio quality, the way it delivers audio is amazing. highs are high and low are distinguished. I'm not an audiophile but even I realized how good these things from Sony are.And about navigating through the buttons, it's a piece of cake. Took me 5 minutes to familiarize myself with it.The EQ is superb, the Sub-woofer control is efficient and bass is so beautifully sent to the sub.Bluetooth connectivity is a charm, switch NFC and viola, done.I have no complains for the Microphone, I can hear the caller and the caller can hear me.Get this unit for any Audio purpose, one of the best purchases I have ever had.Thank you Sony, thank you Amazon.

Good unit, simple interface. Doesn't come with all the bells and whistles but sound is great. Bluetooth is spotty, sometimes it will disconnect or sometimes it only lets you stream music but not make calls. The microphone is in the head unit and works well. No need to run a mic cord. Mp3 or aac songs on a USB memory stick play really good. Sound is great. Also will read the memory stick very fast. Remote takes a little bit to get used to.One feature I've never seen before on a head unit, this unit will display the cars battery voltage. Kinda cool.

Several years ago when I bought my car, I went to my local Walmart and tried to pick up a Sony CD player with Bluetooth. What I got home with is not the model I paid for. Not wanting to go back I installed it and went on with my life.Flash forward a few years and I was tired of all the wires. I don't use the CD player so I didn't need that. I found this unit and went ahead with the purchase. After it arrived, I just swapped out the deck since I already had a Sony unit installed. Went really well.I immediately noticed an improvement in sound. Pairing was easy and I love how information from the song I'm playing (either local storage or Pandora) displays on the unit. The display in my newer car doesn't do that!Overall I'm really pleased with this unit. The Sony app for my phone sucks but I don't use it anymore. I connect and start Pandora and drive off.

This head unit is awesome for the money. BT connects to my phone whenever I start my Jeep AUTOMATICALLY. Nice feature. Makes my 5.25 front speakers and my 6x9 rear speakers have a crisp, clean and healthy punch. Highs and mids sound great. Install is a snap. Love it.

Installed yesterday coupled with Kenwwod performance speakers. Sound quality is amazing with this combo. I love the extra bass option. I had the speakers hooked to a jvc head unit previously and this Sony made a huge difference. Bluetooth works great - i love not having an external microphone and the built in one is more than enough. Set up and software are extremely easy to use which is a big plus. Only downside is I haven t been able to hook my Samsung to the usb and have it read it - might have to update my phone though. Head unit comes with installing tools, remote and dashboard sleeve. I definitely recommend this product

Great little stereo. The package arrived writhing a couple days with contents in good conditions, despite poor packaging (IMO). It was just the box the stereo is in with a shipping label on it. No extra box or anything of that kind.Installation was a breeze. Clear and simple instructions plus a bit of experience on my part got the job done in 20-30 min. The deck is also about half the size (depth) of a standard stereo, making up some room for wires.I’m happy with the sound quality, but I have to admit I’m not a huge audiophile. It definitely sounds much better than the old stereo I had.Bluetooth and calling works great. The only downside of this model, as far as I’m concerned, is lack of external microphone. The internal one works fine and I’m sure won’t be an issue in most cars, but it’s a bit of a downfall with my setup (Jeep YJ)

I'm not a fan of where they placed the buttons. The Play/Pause button is a very small button on the right side of the front panel: it should be a big button on the left side. There should be a dedicated Mute button. Next track and Previous track should also be closer to the driver. Who will use this big Call button on the left side?There should be a way in the menu to disable specific sources. I will never use Pandora, USB, Aux, and SiriusXM: I only alternate between FM and Bluetooth Audio, so I should be able to hide the other ones.Don't get me wrong: I'm still glad I installed this unit. It does the job perfectly otherwise:* The UI and Bluetooth commands/audio are snappy.* I like that it remembers the last menu item (recursively) when you go back to the menu.* Installation was super easy on a Toyota Yaris given that both companies (Sony and Toyota) are from Japan.* Sound is great with enough power. Great high-pass filter.* Subwoofer output and remote out work perfectly.* The receiver boots fast.* There's a lot of general, sound, and display parameters too to fine-tune to your liking.
