Easy to fill. Birds were comfortable with size and appearance. Would purchase again.

Solid bird feeder!!! Stable, easy to fill and attractive!

The reason I took a star away? The way they have it hang, it will fall right off the hook if there is lots a wind. I've had to go buy extra clamps to adjust where I need it. Also the clip/clasp that holds the top of the house needs to be more secure. Other than that I love it.

I love this bird feeder. I find it very well and thoughtfully designed and well made. First, it comes close to ready to go out of the box. You just need to take the two suet cages (they call them bird cages) from inside the feeder and attach them to the sides. There are tabs already on the outside you just need to slide the cage over the hooks and then use the provided "tool" (really a small screw driver) to then press the top of the tabs in to hold the cage securely in place.The feeder features two cages or holders to place suet cakes in (one on each side); and a two-compartment feed hopper where you can use two different types of seed if desired. The feeder also features a bottom tray type feeder on the front and back of the feeder; and two perch type feed slots on the front side. My only compliant is that I find the bottom tray slot where the seed flows down into the tray may be a little too large and the birds may kick out some of the side in the tray.Other nice features include metal construction where the roof and side panels are pretty durable (not thin, flexible metal you may find on other feeders). Also as it is metal versus the plastic a lot of other feeders use it won't crack over-time exposed to the weather. The "roof panels" over the suet cakes flip up easily and give adequate space to insert new suet cakes. The main hopper lid or roof also can be raised easily to refill the feeder. The top roof features a little sliding lock you can use to easily slide down to hold the roof on so the wind or animals can't flip the roof open. Finally the cable to hang the feeder is a steel cable (not a rope or string) so it is much more durable and won't break. It also features a nice wide loop on top giving you more options on where you can hang the feeder.Overall this is a very nice, durable, and attractive looking feeder that won't break the bank!

The box with the feeder arrived crushed on one corner. The feeder tray was bent and the notches that hold the suet feeders on had two that were badly mangled. I sent it back and was sent another box. This box was torn and the feeding tray was bent, but not as badly as the first. I feel that the box is too flimsy for the feeder.

This bird feeder is attractive, has 2 hoppers for 2 types of seeds, and a suet holder on each side. The suet holders need to be attached by sliding on to tabs and a small screwdriver is included in case the tabs need to be opened a little more. The lid is tightened on with a clasp on the hanging cord. The lid doesn't have anything to keep it centered on the feeder so you have to make sure it's centered before you tighten it. The roof doesn't really hang off enough to protect the seed from getting wet in the rain and the hanging cord is really long and the length isn't adjustable. I hung it on an existing feeding station under a feeder cover (purchased separately) to keep the food dry. I knotted the hanging cord to shorten it to the length I needed. The seed trays are narrow and are fully filled with seed so I was worried about spillage from birds. After several days that doesn't appear to be a problem. The suet holders are nice but I didn't use them because I already have 2 suet holders. I could probably take them off, but am leaving them in case I decide to use them. They do have roofs, which is nice because my other suet holders are just cages. One side of the feeder is mesh which is good for small seeds like thistle. The feeder will allow me to add additional types of food to try to attract more birds. I hung the feeder and birds were using it by the time I got in the house. It's been a popular addition to my feeding station ever since.

This is a beautifully made bird feeder that should appeal to wild birds such as cardinals, blue jays, and finches, with the added bonus of two suet cake holders that will likely draw in woodpeckers as well. Living in central Missouri, these are exactly the types of birds I was hoping to attract.The corrugated metal construction feels solid and durable, and the edges are smooth enough that there’s no risk of cutting yourself while handling it. Assembly was simple—just a matter of securing the suet feeders with the punched tabs. I bent the tabs around the wire to make sure they stay put, since raccoons are clever enough that relying on the hooks alone didn’t seem wise.The feeder hangs from a heavy braided wire with a spring-loaded tension lock to keep the lid secure, which should help protect the seed from critters while still making it easy for me to refill. One side has a window better suited for seed, while the opposite side has a screen ideal for thistle, which finches especially enjoy.Given the build quality, I expect this feeder to last several years under normal conditions. Unless you live in bear country, it should hold up well against most animals that might try to get into it. In my yard, I’ll probably need to refill it every couple of days once the birds find it.Price-wise, it seems fair — about what I’d expect to pay at Lowe’s or Ace for the same quality and features.Rating: 5 out of 5 stars — attractive, sturdy, and practical; it delivers on quality and value.

Well, I’ll admit, I wasn’t expecting much, but this contraption turned out to be pretty nice. They call it a bird feeder, but honestly, it’s more like the Taj Mahal for sparrows! The thing’s built solid… so solid, in fact, it’s got some heft to it. I nearly dropped it trying to hang it up. It’s made of actual metal!It did come with one of those itty-bitty screwdrivers, which I had to squint to use, but the assembly wasn’t too bad. I managed just fine without calling one of my kids for help. I haven’t bothered with the suet cakes yet but it’s on the grocery list and will put them in when its winter season.It’s got a big opening at the bottom for the chunkier birds and two little perches halfway up for the daintier ones. The metal roof actually keeps the rain off, which is more than I can say for my porch. All in all, it’s a fine feeder. A little fancy for my usual tastes, maybe, but it sure looks nice out there.

Love these bird feeders and the birds do too. Perfect with the double suet cages. I now have woodpeckers coming up to the feeder to enjoy a meal. Solid built, holds a good amount of seed as well in the centre.

This bird feeder is well built, although the cages for the suet could be a little bigger in size. The suet cakes have to be trimmed in order to fit. We have a pretty good laugh reading the instructions. We have a large flock of sparrows that take roost in our bushes and even the four pounds of seed that this feeder holds would normally only last a day, right now they are still suspicious about it. The feed could last a week while they get used to it.
