This is a comprehensive set of 12 metric double box end wrenches with one side incorporating a built in ratchet.The set covers 9mm to 19mm in 1mm increments and comes in a hard foam holder. The holder is nice in that the wrenches are held tightly and easy to identify, but due to its size, it better suited to being kept in a rolling tool cart vs. a tool bag.The high density foam holder has a slot down the center giving you easy access to the body of the wrenches to extract them from the holder, and each space has an etched value for the corresponding wrench, so you can easily see the right size for what you need without having to pull a bunch of wrenches out and look at their engraved size.The ratchet uses 90 teeth for what they call ultra fine, and this provides a 4degree swing arc, meaning you don't need to have a lot of side-to-side space to operate the ratchet. At first I was trying to figure out how to reverse the ratchet since I'm used to socket wrenches, but, doh! I found that the whole idea of a box end wrench is that you can flip it over to go onto the same bolt...so from the other side, now your ratchet is reversed...sounds more complicated than it actually is ;)The non-ratcheting end is offset whereas the ratchet is inline with the handle, so flipping it over to change from insert to remove on the ratchet doesn't change the access angle.These are sturdy chrome vanadium steel and feel hefty and robust. They say they are engineered to exceed ASME torque standards, and the steel provides maximum strength, durability and rust resistance. I didn't test out just how much torque those embedded ratchet inserts can take, so that could be a concern. Since they are embedded into the wrench body, if there is a problem, it's not possible to repair or work around from what I can see. However, Toolant provides a lifetime unconditional warranty, so that should alleviate any concerns. You reach them through the Amazon Message Center, they say, and they'll get back to you within 24 hours.It's a nice comprehensive heavy duty wrench set, and I like it, but since I usually work by carrying my tools around in a bag, I'll have to adjust a bit to use these as that big high density foam holder just isn't suited for that kind of lugging around. Still, it's just a nit, and the tools appear to be quality :)

My first impression of the Toolant 12pcs Ratcheting Wrench Set was “wow, these look really nice.” I could immediately tell this is a high-quality set of wrenches. I think this set would be great for a wide range of uses, including DIY projects, auto work, and general tasks around the house.Quality & Feel:The metal feels very solid, and the finish looks premium. I really like the overall look of these (see pictures). My first use was removing a lawnmower blade that was stuck pretty good. I even used a piece of pipe for extra leverage, and the wrench didn’t flex at all—very impressive.Ratcheting Performance:The ratcheting feature works great. I experienced no slipping or skipping. You can actually feel the 4° swing as you rotate, which is a big help in tighter spaces. Having used lower-quality wrenches before, the difference with these is immediately apparent.Design & Ease of Use:The offset head is helpful for giving your hand more room in tight areas. I found them very comfortable and easy to use overall. I also like that the head has an arrow showing the direction for tightening or loosening on the ratcheting end—small detail, but very useful.Storage Tray:I was happy to see these come with a storage tray. One of my biggest complaints with tools is when they don’t include any kind of organization. This tray is made of a nice foam/rubber material and is designed to fit in a toolbox drawer. Although, the wrenches are held securely enough that they went fall out if the tray is stored vertically. Each size is clearly marked, which is great as well.The only downside is that it can be a little difficult to pull the wrenches out when wearing gloves. Not a big deal. I would prefer a case with a lid for protection and easier transport though.Overall:I’m very impressed with the look, function, and quality of this wrench set. These feel like they’ll last a long time—maybe even long enough to pass down to my kids someday. 😄 I highly recommend them.

This is a really nice kit and I didn't realize it in the picture but it's actually a full insert so you could drop it in a drawer and it'll keep all of your stuff organized. I kind of thought that was just packaging for shipping, but it's I think designed to just go into a drawer and be ready to go. Now it doesn't fit the drawer squarely, of course, but it still keeps everything organized so the ratcheting side works really well as well so easy just to flip it over and go in or out whichever way you gotta go so this is really nice kit.

Having a set of wrenches like this is a luxury that toolant has brought to the masses at this incredible price. Trust me when I say you're going to be shocked at how nice these are and how refined they feel not only in the hand but also the ratcheting motion and the overall experience.I couldn't be happier with these - and even down to the storage foam which is made out of high-density soft foam that is easy to get your fingers into the well and grab any size you need. - As a long term mechanism for holding them it should be fantastic.They look so good in person - not sure what they're exactly made of but they look tough and I suspect they'll last me a lifetime.Anyone that works on anything needs box-end wrenches and why bother getting the old-school when the ratcheting exist in this incredibly thin form factor - you'd have to be crazy to not want these. Maybe it's only the sort of thing you can appreciate after you've repositioned a box-end tens, hundreds or thousands of times (over a lifetime) but trust me when I tell you 99% of people that have wrenched with standard box-ends would trade them for these in a heartbeat.I'm a huge fan and would go 6 stars if the option was there.

I never used to use ratcheting tools until I got my first set. It was to remove a nut that was in a tight location where I couldn't get a socket wrench to fit. I used an open-ended wrench, but it took forever, and I had to constantly flip it to get the correct angle after every turn. I later got pass-thru sockets, which are great. However, these ratcheting wrenches will allow access to even tighter spots.One thing you have to unlearn is looking for a switch or button to change the direction of the ratcheting mechanism. All you do is flip the wrench over to have it go the other direction. This works well, but I had to keep reminding myself to do that. There is a directional arrow on the tool, so it helps with finding the correct direction.The ratcheting mechanism was smooth, and I was able to ratchet even in a smaller space where I couldn't swing the wrench very far. The foam-molded case is great for keeping the tools organized.For the price, this is a great deal to get 12 wrenches and a foam case. It would have been nicer to have both metric and SAE as part of the set, but a great deal nonetheless.

Extremely nice set of double box ended metric wrenches, with one end ratcheting. I work on a lot of equipment that use metric hardware, and having these wrenches around the shop is very helpful. They are well made and the ratchet mechanisms appear to be holding up perfectly. Good price, good product.

I’ve added this Toolant 12-piece metric ratcheting wrench set (8-19mm) to my toolkit. It’s so much better than old-school open-end or basic box wrenches—especially at this price. The refined ratcheting action is smooth with a tight 4-degree swing arc, letting me work in confined spaces without constantly flipping the tool; just turn it over to reverse direction.They feel premium in hand thanks to the satin finish and solid, no-play construction. Obviously, built tough to last a lifetime through heavy use, with offset heads for tricky angles and a complete size range. One star off for the high-density foam storage case. I'd much rather have it in a roll-up bag that takes less space..For anyone tired of repositioning standard wrenches hundreds of times, these thin-profile ratcheters are a luxury worth every penny—solid quality, great value.

I have a set of open ended wrenches which offers versatility at getting on a nut, but I got this set close ended set to get a better and secure grip. The quality of these wrench feel very solid, and I'm confident it can withstand lots of demanding tasks. The 4 degree swing arc of the ratcheting action means these can be used in confined spaces. The ratchets also feel solid and has virtually no play. There's no switch to change the locking direction of the ratchet. You simple turn flip it over to change directions. There is a marking on the wrench to indicate which is the locked direction. I think this simplified design adds durability to the ratcheting mechanism.The 19mm wrench is the longest at about 10". These wrenches are held in a thick foam pad, which makes removing and putting back a cinch.I'd recommend these wrench set, and at $60 for 12 high quality wrenches, it a good deal.
