Installation took only a few minutes, and the ReadyLatch system locked everything in place securely with no wobbling. The Grip‑Tight bumpers keep the seat firmly in place, and the elongated shape is comfortable and feels solidly built. The white finish looks clean and matches my existing Kohler toilet perfectly. Quality toilet seat. East to install, sturdy, no slipping on toilet rim, & soft (very slow) close. I bought the black to match my MacKenzie Childs shower curtain and bath rug. It really looks "high end" and adds a nice touch to the entire bathroom scheme. I would buy this brand again.My husband bought another less expensive brand toilet seat and he is sorry that he did. It slips on the toilet rim.

This is a review for the KOHLER 4636-RL-0 Cachet ReadyLatch Elongated Toilet Seat.The Good: Everything.The Bad: The instructions.The Ugly: Seriously, the instructions.The Kohler ReadyLatch toilet seat is a really nice piece of work. It features a slow, soft-closing lid and seat as well. The material is plastic, but it has a good thickness and feels very firm under me when I sit down. I'm 6'2" and 280lbs currently, and there's not even any flex from the seat as I sit down. *Very* sturdy, indeed.The color is a basic white, just like the porcelain on most toilets, so it matches just fine. I have to give props to their packaging. Before you even open the package, it shows you the measurements and warns you to double check and make sure it'll fit on your toilet (and that you didn't order the wrong shape for your toilet!).That being said, the only downside was the instructions - there really wasn't much of any. I've taken off and put on a lot of toilet seats in my time, and they're all pretty straight forward - pop the tab on the top, grab the nut on the underside, use a screw driver to unscrew the plastic bolt from the nut, repeat on the other side, and job's halfway done. Reverse it to install.No problem, right? Wrong! This Kohler had a rubber encased wing nut with a tube that flared out at the end into a flat donut. What...the...okay! Let's check instructions...uhhh...nope...okay, *sigh* let's ask the Internet. Bingo. After hunting around the first couple search results, I found a gentleman installing one - on YouTube.I had to sit through five minutes of someone talking about their toilet and the seat, how their seat had a crack in it, etc etc etc, until suddenly he shows me the secret! FOLD THE WINGNUT SIDEWAYS AGAINST THE TUBE, SLIP IT DOWN THROUGH THE BOLT HOLE ON THE TOILET!!!After that, the install was very simple and straight forward. Position the toilet seat over the two bolt holes (now with a rubber tube installed and a wing nut hanging down on the other side) and install the two bolts that come with the lid.Final Thoughts: I've been using it now for a bit, and I have to say - it's different from my other lids, but I really like the design, fit and the angle of it. It's comfortable, but not "sit on the pot and watch funny cat videos" comfortable. Overall, I'd say it's competitively priced, and well worth the money.

Easy to install, comfortable, and looks nice. I have a ProFlo brand toilet and the color of this seat is slightly different but not enough to notice unless you spend more time looking at it than anyone should stare at a toilet. My old seat was wood and this Kohler feels sturdier and more solid than I expected. It took longer take the old seat off that to put this new one in. Soft close works as expected. The seat doesn't move around while sitting on it. I considered several cheaper seats but I'm glad I went with this one. I'll be ordering a 2nd one for my other bathroom now.

Looks Nice; it’s functional as described: the lid closes smoothly & quietly; it’s slip resistant and was extremely easy to install.

This was the PERFECT toilet seat I was looking for! Perfect size. Beautiful product. Soft close. Easy clean! You can't ask more for a toilet seat, and yet, they DID, with a simple disconnect to remeove the seat for thorough cleaning. It's costly, comparatively, but if this lives up to Kohler reputation, it's totally worth it.

Clearly a quality product from Kohler. Easy install and nice design. Great slow close mechanism. The only thing is that I wish the gray was a little lighter. The gray that is used looks more like a taupe.

Best suited replacement seat for a discontinued toilet bowl. Sleek to look at.

Good Elongated Seat. Fits the old Kohler Portrait Toilet pan well. But the Kohler Lustra Elongated is a better shape fit to the Portrait Toilet - although arguably this is a better toilet seat. I have two Kohler Portrait Toilets and bought one of these and one Lustra Toilet Seat (the Lustra is twice the price). I won’t change this Cachet toilet seat for the moment as it’s acceptable. But next time I’ll pay the extra for the Lustra toilet seat. Even though this one is a slightly better product.

Easy to install and good quality

The quiet close works as expected, and the seat is comfortable enough. Installation was easy and the seat fits perfectly. I would buy it again.
