I was a bit skeptical but decided to go for it and get it. While mapping, I was even more skeptical. I will say after the first run through I was pleasantly surprised. The battery surprisingly does go down a lot while running. If you have bigger rooms, I would clean them on different days. It cleans well, better than what I was going to give it credit for. With the app it walks you through easily and gets it up and running! Suction power is good, you have 3 levels of cleaning: light, standard, and deep clean.

Do not buy this machine. It is the first time I have ever encountered a product that appears to be designed to be stupid, dysfunctional, and useless. I owned a previous version of Roomba which mostly worked well until the tires wore down to the point that it affected its functionality. Despite my best efforts and multiple attempts, I have never been able to purchase new wheels that actually permit the robot to rest properly on the floor and vacuum effectively.In frustration, I bought this new machine to replace it. This is actually a worse product that the robot it replaced. It spins around pointlessly. Doesn’t dock well. It recharges constantly, stopping jobs incessantly to go back to the dock, and literally does a barely competent job of vacuuming.What I think is most painful about this item though, is that the software/app which accompanies the robot, or which is designed to work with the robot, is actually terrible. It actually contains less useful information than the original product from Roomba, is harder to use, and is less reliable.The failure of this machine is actually impacting my marriage. My wife has OCD and will sweep even when the floor has been vacuumed by a robot that is competent. But she will vacuum less when the robot works well. Since this is a useless machine, she is having to sweep our entire floors for what seems like an eternity to get them squeaky clean.Do not buy this. I would give this zero stars if I could. Buy another machine, preferably from another brand, if you can find a decent one. But do not waste money on this.

Okay, I have to talk about my newest obsession: the iRobot Roomba 105 + Auto Empty Base. This little machine is next-level.I honestly didn’t expect to be this impressed — but it’s been an absolute game-changer for our household. It’s so efficient. It picks up every crumb, hair, speck of dust (and yes, even dried bits of Play-Doh) without missing a beat. And with multiple girls in the house, plus kids — the floor used to be a mess by the end of the day. Not anymore. 🙌One of the best features? It’s quiet. Like, whisper quiet. I can schedule it to clean at night while everyone’s sleeping, and it doesn’t bang into walls, doors, or furniture. It slows down before approaching obstacles, which is such a thoughtful design detail that makes a big difference — especially when you have a light sleeper.Setup was a breeze — I thought I’d have to move furniture or prep the whole house for mapping, but it figured it out on its own. Within minutes, it had created a smart map and I could customize cleaning routines for each room right from the app.I love being able to schedule my daughter’s room for daytime cleaning and the rest of the house at night — and the fact that it auto-empties itself? That’s the kind of 2025 energy I’m here for. 🧼✨This vacuum has taken one of the most frustrating parts of daily life off my plate. I don’t think I could ever go back. Quiet, efficient, works well on hard and carpet. Unfortunately with the small circular on top does not fit under bedroom dressers (old 604 did)

I’ve long been a fan of Roomba‘s and iRobot, but I can no longer justify any recommendation to buy their products. I still have my older model working hard every day, but these new ones are just a piece of junk. I’ve had to reset this particular robotnumerous times. It gets lost. It doesn’t start its job. It starts and then runs for two minutes and then shuts down. I have to reset it constantly with just a litany of problems and their customer service now is just absolutely atrocious. Again I was a big fan but no longer.

App still works, mapping is great. This one is the quietest, and the self-emptying means we don't need to tend to it nearly as much as our other Roombas

This was our first venture into robot vacuums. In general we were very impressed with its performance. One observation is that if you suffer from pet hair then get the model specifically designed for that. We only have "visitor" dogs yet the hair was sufficient to clog the vacuum. However the design is such that it is easy to clean
