I’ve been using the Flexi Extreme and Giant for over a year. Both are durable and worth the money. Regarding which I prefer? Both work absolutely as intended, so I like them equally. The open nature of the Giant may have benefits for some, but both have worked without issue for me. Definitely recommended.

Came super quick, think 3 days earlier than what it said.I bought this as a Christmas present for me and my German Shepherd, we had wore the 1st Flexi out, it was a really small one, the insides gave out after 3.5 years and miles of walking.This one here is freaking awesome, the fill, the large tape, how it don’t let it roll all the way up, im gonna go out on the limb and say this one here is gonna last a really long time. It’s so good when you can feel “build quality” in a product when you use it. I understand it’s not cheap, but I think anyone who buys it after getting it and using will be happy with their purchase

I wanted to give this Flexi leash a good long test (like a couple months of use) with my wild and woolly German Shepherd boy who loves a good squirrel chase, a long walk, pulls on a 6 foot leash like the world is about to end, and has the strength of 5 bulls. This Flexi leash has held up very well under the stress he puts it to.First, having the option of letting my pup reel out 15 feet during safe areas of our walk makes for a much more pleasant walk for both of us. He doesn't pull on this leash like he does with a short leash. Also when he does pull, the Flexi has a bungee at the end so it absorbs some of the shock instead of my arms getting all of it. Interestingly, while he has been a real pill about being clicker trained (he is super stubborn - even our trainer is surprised at his stubbornness) he has learned the 'click' noise this leash makes when I stop it from letting out more length and he quits pulling. At least he's trained himself on this *major eye roll*.The Flexi is the only retractable leash I would trust for my big boy. There are cheaper leashes that say they are for up to 110 pounds. My pup is almost 100. Even if he was back around 80, I still wouldn't trust anything with less strength than the Flexi. When I searched for a retractable leash, I originally googled "seatbelt mechanism leash heavy duty". Flexi came up. Ha ha.The body of this leash is comfortable for me to hold. Something I noticed after having my pup yank me a few times is that the body has a little springy piece of plastic on the inside of the grip. This does not seem important on initial inspection, but wow does it save my hand when my boy takes a lunge at something. Both safety AND comfort have been thoroughly considered in the design of this leash. We won't be using anything else.

I like this leash. It does what it was designed to do. I once had a different brand and it would not retract consistently. This version has an elastic end piece that does not retract. This is the only part I am not fond of and probably will take it of.

We've had our last Flexi since 2005! It still works fine. We replaced it for two reasons: 1. Our new 5 month old pup is pretty rambanctious and often forgets she's on lead and runs full tilt into the end of the lead. We really appreciate that bit of give in the elastic end. 2. The first one was starting to get a little lax in spring-loaded tape return. (Which is completely understandable after 17 years of daily use!) The laxity was fine with our slow-moving senior. The pup requires a quick return.The Large model looks pretty huge in the seller pictures. But it's neither too big nor too heavy. Fine for short or long walks.In total, I would recommend this for every dog owner except for those whose dog needs a really sharp control. An example is my buddy's dog. He's an 85# rescued pit mix (maybe with Dogo Argentino.) He's super sweet inside but a handful outside. He's getting better, but you really need to have total control over at all times. I wouldn't feel comfortable using this lead for him due to the "give" in the elastic leader.

This is sturdy and super strong. I have a 60 pound dog and this does the job. We use it all the time. Its light weight, and long enough for the dog. It was pricey but I believe worth it.

I have a 43lb Pitt Mix Rescue, and she can be a handfull. I started out using a 50 lb limit string leash that I had from a previous dog, She quickly learned how to bounce my thumb off the lock mechanism and bolt. A few burned Hands and Gloves later I upgraded to this leash. We also worked very hard on "Leave it" which is the best fix . This Flexi is much more robust and the few times she has bolted lately (a rabbit under a bush near the path, and a grouse in the brush.) The lock has held firm and my Titanium Shoulder has appreciated the shock cord integral to the leash. In Short Buy it, It is worth it and it works!

A well made, solid and well designed lead!Effectiveness - The bungee system at the end really does help. Whilst a bit strange and off-putting at first, it's stopped my arm being torn off plenty of times and probably stopped my dogs neck snapping a few times too! ...Obviously I'm exaggerating, but it's actually a great implementation.Length - Brilliant. I cannot let my dog off the lead, so being able to give them the freedom to roam whilst still having control over them means a lot. This lead really helps with that.Colour - Nice and vibrant. The wife loves orange, so this is ideal.Weight - Not too bad... We oversized our lead as our dog is very stocky, so we pretty much went for double the weight limit, which means we ended up with the really big size. My wife has never complained and I never feel any strain from carry this thing around.Comfort - Great. The adjustable hand rest is a nice addition. Due to the bigger handle on the large size, being able to adjust it makes it a lot easier to hold and still have access to the release catch/lock.Bonus - If you're wondering what the black chord is that comes with the lead... If you loop it around the handle and into itself, you can use it as a wrist strap.... just incase you drop the lead.

Its well worth the money. I always buy this brand. Quality is that good you can use it for years. This time i bought this type because of the color. Perfect visibility in day and night. Also other dog owners see with this visible color that my dog is not running around without line. I have a German Shepherd. But the most perfect thing about this one is the elastic line at the end. If dog pulls you wont feel it in your back anymore!!!! Thanks for this design!
