The scale is very precise, but the scale does not do what we needed. I thought we could calculate ingredients cost per weight and get a total cost/price. That is not what this scale does, it will calculate the cost if you already know price per weight.

The fact that it will calculate price is a huge bonus for someone with a small business or who participates in something like a farmers market. It reminds me of the high quality scales they had when I was a cashier at a grocery store. I am using this at home as it is not registered for commercial use. If this were registered, it would be a great tool for commercial use. The scale is large, well lit, adjustable and accurate. As it will weigh up to 88 lbs. I can also use it simply to weigh my shipping too. I cannot speak to the retail use as I am not using it for that, but as a plain scale, by itself, it is better than any of my others. Price seems fair, quality is very good and the adjustable power connections allow for it to be very portable, or stationary. Again, I have not needed this outside my place, so it is plugged in and I cannot speak to the battery life. Lots of options and a very convenient interface, bright display (on BOTH sides) and very intuitive.
