I have to admit I was disappointed when I first opened the box and saw all of the accessories that most of us who have played for some time already have. I figured it was a beginner's set. I play a Double Black Diamond Six Zero as my main paddle and have an SLK Evo Hybrid as my back up paddle. I figured this paddle would end up in my locker as an emergency backup paddle.I am a 78-year-old retiree and have been playing pickleball for less than a year. Taking age and ability into account I am probably a mid-intermediate recreational player. I play 5-7 games per day 3 days a week and swim laps on the other two days. My strengths are serving, spin and control.Today was my first chance to try out the Vispinvo paddle. My partner and I started first and I hit the initial serve the same as I do with my 6.0 paddle, deep and with top and some side spin. I was amazed, as was the would-be returner when it hit and hopped sideways as an unreturnable ball. I cannot believe the amount of spin this paddle easily generates. It is very comfortable to play with and the control is there but is taking me a while to tame it.We play paddle-up and I drew the same partner for the second game and asked if he would try it out for our second game together to give me another opinion. He did and by the end of the game wanted to trade paddles. One of the guys watching the game afterwards wanted to know if I had a silencer on the paddle since it makes very little "pickleball" noise. Went 4-2 this morning, and one of the losses was the game I played with my 6.0. I plan to use the Vispinvo exclusively for the rest of the week to get a full feel for it.I don't know if this paddle is certified since I saw no mention on its page and the amount of grit is amazing. I really could care less, since I never plan to play beyond recreational with friends. I do wonder if the grit will last or quickly wear off as I saw mentioned on other spin paddles. While the paddle seems well built and sturdy, it will take more than five games for that determination. If I discover and problems or deficiencies with this paddle I will update in the future. As a final observation, I can't believe this paddle is half the price of my 6.0. For now, it looks like my SLK will go to the emergency locker and I have a new backup paddle.
Paddle preference is a very subjective thing. Everyone has their own likes/dislikes. I use a Gearbox gx6 that I am very fond of. This Vispinvo paddle is nice enough, but just not my cup of tea. As a positive, I can get some very good spin because of the gritty surface. I’m just not sure how long that grit will last. After a month of use I haven’t seen any degradation yet. So that’s good. As a negative, the paddle seemed head heavy. If you like that, great. I prefer more balance. Also, the edge guard came down about an inch more on one side. It didn’t bother me because I grab the handle further down. Someone with bigger hands or someone who has a two-handed grip might be bothered by it. Overall, I had good results with this paddle after getting familiar with it. It just wasn’t quite to my preference.
Was not consistent play
I love the amount of texture or grit on this paddle. Talk about a lot of spin. It does take time to learn control. This paddle is balanced. It is a little heavier than my standard paddle at 8.4 oz. (on my postage scale), but it easy to swing. There is a large sweet spot. This is a sturdy paddle. It holds up to frequent play (the paddle has made the rounds of all my pickleball playing friends). The grip is comfortable and non-slip which is a must when you play in the summer in Florida (I do not want to drop my paddle from sweat). The paddle is not USAPA approved (not that I will be playing in a tournament any time soon). This paddle would work for advanced through intermediate players. The paddle comes in a nice gift box with a paddle eraser, two replacement grip tapes, two rubber rings, and ten lead tapes. This is a quality paddle.
I've been playing tennis since COVID hit, but lately, I'm becoming more of a fan of pickleball. I still play tennis, but I've been venturing out towards the pickleball courts more often, especially since so many people I know prefer pickleball over tennis. I have about four paddles above $70 that I rotate, and this Vispinvo paddle has quickly become my favorite. Here’s why:**Grip and Balance:**I love the general size of the grip and the balance of the paddle. The head's size and thickness feel just right in my hand, offering great control and power.**Quality Surface:**The standard T700 contact surface is just as gritty as most other paddles within the USAPA T700 standard, which means it’s not allowed to get any grittier. The muffled sound it makes on contact gives me confidence in its quality and durability.**Great Package:**This paddle comes packaged with a lot of extras, making it a great gift set. You get a good-looking box with a magnetic closure, weights, grips, a grip band, and a cleaner—all packaged very nicely. The additional weights are a nice touch because if you like to drive your shots, having a heavier paddle can really help.**Value for Money:**For a paddle priced below $100, it stands out. The paddles in this price category often start to look and feel the same, but the comprehensive set and the quality of the Vispinvo paddle make it the one to purchase.Overall, whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced player, this paddle offers excellent value and performance. Highly recommended!
First, they cite "professional players" - disregard this. This paddle is not USAPA approved, nor are they trying as you can see the logo is not presented on this. You won't be using this paddle in any tournaments that use the approved paddle list. However, the presentation of the box and all the extra bonuses you get are very nice and thus making this a favorable gift set to give to someone who's starting out.You can extra grips with rubber bands to hold the tape down. You can edge guard and lead weights so you can adjust how your paddle performs/feels. And lastly, get a nice eraser to clean off the ball residue, etc.. from your paddle face since this is a carbon faced paddle. If you look at my pics and you see the paddle face, you'll see the blue swirl in the middle of the face, the true sweet spot is right around that - so you have to be very accurate if you want optimum power. The grip is ribbed, as well, a bit on the rectangular side of the feel.It does have decent weight to it in that it will measure in the 8 to 8.5 ounce range. The grip is of nice length and the neck of the paddle opens up to allow for a second hand to fit in nicely if you need it.Grit on the face is pretty good and was able to generate some decent spin.Again, this is a nice entry paddle but not one that you will grow into tournament play with. But to get you started to where you can learn to play, as well, adjust your paddle and learns the ins and outs of applying weight to the paddle or over gripping, etc.. it's all here and in a nicely built box.
I liked the power of the return on this paddle. I get consistent shots off of this. The balls spin off of the carbon fiber face well. The grip is better than my other paddles because of the textural ridge my hand can feel for a stronger and steadier grip. It comes with stick on weights to help improve shots, but I haven't used any yet. I am doing okay without them. When it comes time to change the handle tapes, there is an extra roll for me to do so. I haven't built up the debris on the face of the paddle to use the cleaner yet but glad to have it when I will. This paddle feels different enough from my other ones that I am more aware of my own movements so I can continue to improve. I like this paddle and recommend it.
This set came with a few extras. An eraser, some grip tape etc... All of this is fine, but the paddle is what you're hoping will make the $100 you forked out worth the investment. If you've been in pickleball a little while, this is a good next step. The paddle felt light and quick, and the quality was good. The paddle's surface has a good texture to it, although not quite as much roughness as others I have felt (perhaps more smash than dink?), but still enough to get spin and touch on the ball.If you're just getting into the pickleball waters, you can spend a C-note if you want, but might be better served at a lower price point. If you've been there a while and you're enjoying the game, this is a nice next step.
It's great so far !
Awesome gift for my nephew, he loves pickleball and loves this as a gift
I bought this paddle as a back-up to another edgeless paddle I own and thoroughly enjoy playing with. It looked like a great deal with a strikingly similar profile to mine and the entire package seemed too good to not try. When I got it, I was a bit disappointed. It's face (surfac area) is smaller my current and other comparable paddles. The handle is shorter too. It is incredibly light, though it looks well manufactured.Despite the grit on the surface, the paddle felt like a toy and felt very flimsy. I was able to get a good spin response (top, back andcside) but the control, in my opinion, was so bad that I had mis-hits that I don't normally encounter when playing. After 2 games with this paddle, I put it aside and returned to my primary paddle. I'm suspicious about whether this is actually USA pickle ball approved anyone can put a stamp on a paddle but where's the proof? No. I do not recommend this paddle to anyone serious about the sport.
Paddle too ridgid, gives no bounce at all. Like hiting with a fence post.I have 3 other paddles that have varying degrees of "pop" and response, no offence to manufacturer but this paddle has none of the above.
The paddle is great. I've used one belonging to a friend. But I did not receive the 4 extra grip wraps mentioned in several places in the listing in my order.Returned.
