We originally purchased these washable pads because our cat had started having litter box issues and was repeatedly peeing in the same spot outside the box. We needed something to protect the floor while we worked on the behavior, and these pads ended up being a really practical solution.The pads are large—about 3 ft by 4 ft—so they cover a good amount of space. We placed one directly over the area where she had been having accidents, which helped protect the floor and made cleanup much easier. The non-slip backing works well, so the pad stays in place instead of sliding around like disposable pads often do.One thing I really like about these is that they look like a small rug instead of the typical plastic-looking pee pads. They blend into the room much better and don’t make the area look like a pet training zone. That said, because they look like a rug, you do have to be mindful if you’re trying to teach pets not to go on rugs in general.The pads are absorbent without being bulky. I even tested one by pouring some water on it, and the liquid didn’t soak through to the floor underneath. They’re also easy to clean—just toss them in the washer and they come out looking like new. I usually wash them on a gentle cycle and prefer to air dry them to keep the non-slip backing in good shape. They’re fairly thin, so they dry pretty quickly.The two-pack is also convenient because you can always have one in use while the other is being washed. That’s especially helpful if your pet is having frequent accidents.Our cat’s litter box habits eventually improved, so we don’t rely on them as much now, but they’re still useful for protecting furniture, beds, or other spots where pets like to hang out. They’re well made, durable through multiple washes, and much more eco-friendly than constantly throwing away disposable pads.Overall, these are a great option if you have a pet that occasionally misses the litter box or has accidents in specific areas. We've been using these pee pads for quite some time now. While house training our Shih-Tzu puppy we would put a disposable pad by the back door at night and in front of her bed when we weren't at home. I know what you're thinking, "Just put her in a crate". Um, no, princess does not do crates. Anyway, I was really tired of white pee pads sliding around on the hardwood floors, so we put these pads down first and then a white disposable pad on top. That may sound redundant, but these look like a rug and we did not want to teach her it was okay to pee on a rug. These pads would help keep the disposable pads in place and also catch any overflow from the disposable pads.These pads are a nice option for a few reasons:#1 They come in larger sizes so there is little chance of her missing.#2 The non-slip backing really works.#3 They can be used to protect floors, furniture, beds, and car seats.#4 Thick enough to absorb water and other liquids, but not bulky.#5 Easily cleaned. Safe in the washer and dryer.#6 They look like a rug or blanket and don't scream "pee pad" when you see them.Now that she can hold her business all night, we thankfully don't need pee pads any longer. Still, these pads are great for protecting our bed (don't give me the eye rolls, she's our baby). They contain the yak cheese and milk bone crumbs quite nicely and is certainly easier to wash than a blanket.The pads are well made and have held up well to several machine washings. So what is wrong with them? Well, the fact that they look like a rug is either a feature or a flaw, depending on how you want to use them. They are marketed as a puppy training pad, but we didn't know how to teach her to do her business on this rug but not the others. Maybe a more patient pet parent would know how. We were also turned off by the thought of putting dog pee in our washer (wash them alone then rinse the washer with bleach). But they did help with the process and they are so versatile that I don't think deducting a star is fair to the product. And I think that the two pack is a decent value as well.The bottom line is that I do recommend these pads to protect your floors, furniture and car. But don't think your puppy will magically know the difference between using this "rug" and your expensive area rugs.

I am the mom of two cats. I love my cats, but I do not love cleaning up after them in the litter box area. It's especially frustrating because one of my cats has decided the wall is the best place to take care of things (only #1 thank goodness). These pads have provided me with a stylish and practical way to handle this problem. The pads are lightweight enough that I can actually pin them to the wall beside the litterboxes. The pads are a really nice and large size so I can tuck the bottom under the litterbox and avoid having to mop up the mess. They are washable and reusable so I expect to be using these for a long time to come! The package comes with two pads so you can use one and wash one and alternate them out.

I spend a lot of money on pee pads so this seems like a bargain to just pay once! This set comes with two large washable pee pads which each measure 3 ft by 4 ft, so they are large which is nice! . These look like rugs which is so much nicer than the disposable blue and white plastic pads. I love that there are two as you can always have one on the floor. If you keep up with your laundry, you will never have to worry about going without a pee pad I did test these by pouring some bottled water on them and the water did not go through the pad! I did notice that the listing shows a black non-slip backing and the ones I received have a white non-slip backing. Actually, I prefer the white as it is unlikely to mark the carpets underneath. Just be aware that the backing is white. After performing the water test I washed these as I do not want any new smells distracting the dogs. After washing they looked just like new. I did wash them on a gentle cycle but did wash the two together. From past experience with washable rugs or anything with a non-slip backing, I prefer to air dry these. They do say these can be dried on low but I will be air drying. I have found that drying similar items it seizes up the backing causing the edges to start to curl. I have not attempted drying these in the dryer, nor will I. After taking them out of the washer, the edges were fine, not curled and I laid flat to dry. They are fairly thin and they do not take long to dry. I laid them over the sofa overnight and they were dry by morning. I am a little hesitant to wash these in the same machine i was clothes in but I will run a rinse after washing these when they are contaminated. The biggest issue will be training my dogs to use these as they do look like rugs and we are asking them to do everything we trained them not to do, pee on the rug! I am a little hesitant on the best way to approach training. My best thought is to start with the pad over the carpet and put a disposable pad on top of this washable pad and continue to do so for perhaps a week and then remove the disposable pad. And of course I will also put these in the same place the dogs have gotten used to the disposable pee pads being. Overall, I feel good about this purchase as I will quit throwing so much money away, quit throwing so much in a landfill, and these will look much better on the floor! They could even be used for a rug if I am not able to train the dogs to use them. These will also save lots of money which can be reinvested in dog toys!

These washable pee pads are for my senior dog. She's a husky mix and pees a quart when she has an accident inside the house. Not minor accidents! I got the 72 by 36 size and they are gigantic - big enough to cover a good portion of our foyer floor. Plus, the design looks great, very much like a Persian rug motif. These are especially nice to have when company comes, instead of the standard paper type pads.The daily pee pad routine has been going on with my husky for about six months and I already tried a number of these types of pee pads in smaller sizes from other brands. They are all non-slip and very absorbent, and I’m sure these pee pads sold by O’Jay will work the same way in use. They can be thrown in the washing machine but I've been hosing them off outside in the morning and letting them dry in the sun, then washing and drying them as needed.This huge pad is six feet long and will work as a protective cover for our king size bed or couch on rainy days when the dogs are wet. They even work as bath or shower mats that are absorbent, quick drying, and washable. The printed and quilted top layer is classy.These came vacuum packed so the absorbent layers are squished and the creases are set. They need to be flattened prior to use so people don’t trip on the wrinkles.I’m not a fan of the vacuum pack trend in shipping that affects the initial appearance and quality of products, requiring consumers to find a way to remove the wrinkles from squished merchandise prior to use. It seems to me that sucking all the air out of layers of material that need air pockets (like a sponge) to be absorbent could compromise the quality. Not a good idea.In my experience the creases relax in the washing machine and the dryer fluffs the pee pads a bit, so hopefully a wash and dry cycle will rectify the problem. Other than the creases left from vacuum packaging that ruin the first impression, these O’Jay pee pads are super attractive and will look fantastic inside my front door after a wash and dry.Their huge size will easily accommodate my husky's hit and miss aim. It remains to be seen whether these 72” by 36” pads will be too big to be manageable when full of all that urine. But they come in lots of different sizes so I have options. They are well made and worth the price for this hard-to-find size, although the smaller O'Jay sizes are currently priced slightly higher than what I paid for other brands purchased six months ago.Overall, these are a practical, versatile, and attractive solution for pet parents and for keeping furry family members out of trouble.
