Each year my garden is challenged by bunnies and other small critters eating the tulips and hyacinths.These small fences are sturdy and protect the plants nicely. Thus far, plants are in tact and hoping this continues so that I may enjoy the splendor spring flowers bring.

When given the opportunity to replace an old plastic decorative fence that I had used and reused for many years, I took the chance on this 28 panel set. I'm not disappointed at all. First the set up was super easy - like silly easy. The fencing is light and easy to transport from point A to point B. My three year old grandson was carrying little fences to me. Though you do still need to supervise, because the ends are super pointy and sharp.They company provides white zip ties to connect the fences together. (I don't understand their color choice - I replaced mine with black zip ties that I had on hand.) Maybe they want you to be able to see the white on the black, in case you ever want to separate them? But I would think you'd just pull the fence from the ground and see the zip tie and snip it, no matter the color. But oh well, it's a free zip tie with your fence, so use it if you want, or buy some black ones if you don't want to use the included white ones.They've also added a pair of white gloves (which I used for weeding my flower bed, along with putting the fencing in). Honestly the gloves weren't needed. The fencing was smooth and had not snags of metal or any real reason to need any gloves at all.The black rust-proof painting, for the most part, covered all the metal, though there were a few parts that looked as if the paint spraying tools at the factory had missed a spot (here/there), so eventually there may be some concerns where water may leak through and rust damage may occur. I didn't use all my panels, so I can eventually change mine out, if that becomes an issue.Overall, I would totally recommend getting this. Will it keep pups, rabbits, and cats from digging? I don't know. It may from one end of a garden, but I don't know about the other end. I've never trusted "no dig fencing" anyway. I mean, if an animal can walk over a fence, it's going to dig from the other side. And look, it's obviously short, so you're animals are just going to hop, skip and jump right over to get to what they want to dig up.I strictly got this for the curb appeal.

I have purchased other brands of these and have been so happy with them that I was glad to order this set because I have lots of use for them as reinforcers and gap fillers.I decided to use these to partly surround my chicken pen as additional security against digging under or breaking in at the base by predators, including dogs I care for.They seem well-made and although the ground I was hammering them into is softer than some of the applications I’ve tried, they took the pounding I gave them without bending or breaking a weld. The spikes are very pointy, so that helps.I do like the S clips that some others come with to attach them together or to a wire fence, etc. These come with a good supply – looks like at least two per panel – of very flexible, clear zip ties. I would prefer black, but I loved the rubbery texture of these, making me think they might last longer before getting brittle.And the fact that they come with a pair of cotton gloves, especially nice if you are installing the black metal in the heat, and nippers for the ends of the zip ties, which also worked great to snip the shipping straps around the two bundles of fencing, is fabulous customer service!

These metal fences are so durable and strong! Just what we needed to protect and prevent our pet from trying to dig out and escape! We use it for our dog and for our turtle when we try to leave it out for some sunshine. It’s really easy to set up and you don’t have to worry about it falling over because it does go pretty deep into the ground. The metal is rustproof, long lasting material, and you can fold and store it up. It’s so convenient because you can use it for anywhere you want.

Well-made anti-critter (mostly rabbits for me) wire fencing. Made strong, really good welds that held up to having a mini (hand-held) sledge hammering it into hard ground… really pretty impressive. Obviously it will be much easier to install into soft ground, but that wasn't an option for me.I don’t think any small pesky animals would be able to chew through this, but nature will surprise you. The 4” spikes go deep enough that it would be really difficult for a rabbit to get under it. The opening between wires is also pretty small, which is good. A rat could still get through, but not a rabbit or armadillo. The black/color blends well against the yard and the fence, but I put it on the back side, so even if it didn’t, I would have been ok. There is no “connecting” mechanism built in, rather they come with zip ties (white for some reason) and a clipping tool for the ties, which is nice, but they definitely aren't strong enough to cut much more than the provided ties. I actually didn't use the zip ties, I simply overlapped the fence pieces when installing, but again, mine are on the back side of my fence... if doing on the front, and for a cleaner look, you may want to invest in some black zip ties to blend in.Also came with a pair of basic gloves, which I didn’t need for installation, but can always use around the house.Hopefully these will discourage the critters from digging under my fence and they’ll just go under my neighbors fence instead : )This will be especially helpful for small areas that need addressed.

These are working well to discourage my two dogs (especially the BAD one) from damaging my newly planted shrubs in the backyard. Two males, 25-30 pounds — so they are able to jump them, but I think even the bad one decided it was more trouble than it was worth and chose easier places to pee. The fencing is very sturdy and easy to install, just push them into the ground. They’re not particularly decorative, but that’s actually what I like most about them - the black wires pretty much disappear in the landscape and you can barely see them from a distance.

Boy, did we need these! I was honestly surprised we ended up using all 28 panels. Our pup hit the digging stage right after my husband finished redesigning the backyard just for him. With all the new plantings, lighting, and tall grasses, we had to find a way to keep our curious little landscaper out until things could settle in.He was digging next to everything new—even right beside the landscaping timbers we had already put down. Those didn’t faze him one bit. But these heavy-duty metal fence panels? Game changer. They’re tall enough that our pup can’t jump over them—at least not yet—and everything we wanted protected is now off-limits.We also used about 8 of the panels to block off the pool equipment area, which was another favorite digging and chewing spot (especially those poor PVC knobs!). Honestly, nothing seems sacred from his little mouth.The panels themselves are very well made and super easy to install. We didn’t need to use the included zip ties, but it was great to have that option for extra stability. All in all, we’re thrilled with this fencing—it’s doing exactly what we hoped it would and saving our yard (and our sanity) in the process!

They are sturdily built. Some of the pictures are misleading. These are SMALL and SHORT. Look closely at the specified dimensions. They work well for my purpose to block off the bottom of a shed. They are not tall enough to be used as a stand-alone fence for anything but the smallest of animals that won’t climb or jump. They are not going to work for a dog. A bit pricey.We have had lots of trouble with yellow-bellied marmots (rock chucks) and skunks digging under our shed and then destroying produce in our garden. I have tried several things to prevent that. I finally found a series of elements that combined seem to have worked!These panels are part of a multi-pronged approach. I am not sure which elements were the deciding factors. It seems like I ultimately needed all of them.Here is what I used:First, I tried filling in the holes and burying chicken wire several inches below ground with a flange sticking out under ground and stapling that to the bottom of the shed all the way around. That was somewhat of a deterrent for skunks. The marmots just bust right through the chicken wire (and create opening for future skunks).Next, I tried live trapping using a live skunk trap baited with marshmallows. (The marshmallows seem to work to attract the pests but not the neighborhood cats.) Over the last few summers, I have caught several skunks and marmots. But, because there were a bunch of them under the shed, there were more where those came from. Even once I cleared out the current year’s batch, the trap did nothing to prevent a new group from moving in next fall or spring.Next, I added a motion-activated ultrasonic noise emitter. When I added it, I had still seen a few marmots around. I didn’t catch anymore in the trap. And, after a few days, I stopped seeing them. I am not sure if the trap had just depleted their numbers enough that the last few moved on or if the ultrasonic drove them away. I don’t think the ultrasonic would have been as effective without the trap first reducing numbers. Either way, I filled in the holes and have not seen them back for several weeks. Fingers crossed!I moved the ultrasonic to the garden to help discourage any night marauders there.As an extra measure for the shed, I got odor repellent balls and put several of them under the shed before I filled in the holes. I can’t be certain. I do think the odor helped discourage anything else from moving in until I could employ my hopefully final line of defense.I am now securing these SHORT no-dig spiked barrier panels all around the shed as a stronger deterrent than the chicken wire.I REALLY HOPE all of this results in a skunk and marmot-free fall and spring!!Here are links to the particular products I used.
