Does what it claims to do. Great MyQ integration. Pricey but supported by two solid brand names. Excellent, fast customer support.Installation required a bit of adjustment to my particular door. I had to fiddle with the locking pin for keypad side lever installation which would not retract. Fortunately my “Macgyver” skills came to the rescue and I was able to complete the installation. maybe a defect or maybe I missed something in the installation instructions despite my reading them several times.Setup was fairly simple, just follow the instructions and don’t forget to push the check mark button after entering the access code in order to unlock (don’t ask why I point this out - facepalm).Had trouble setting it up to work with Wi-Fi despite having several othe MyQ devices working properly on my network. After speaking with customer support it turns out that the hub must be within 10 feet of the lock for Wi-Fi to work. Instructions simply state that they must be within Bluetooth range which I normally consider to be approximately 30 feet. Once I moved my hub, Wi-Fi setup was successful. Fortunately, my other devices were still within range.MyQ supports multiple hubs on the same network so it might be worth considering an additional hub when buying this lock.Overall satisfied with my purchase.

I purchased this lock in April 2024 so it would connect with the My Q app. This is the same app that my Liftmaster (Chamberlin) garage door openers work with, so it seemed like a natural option. When it worked as expected, I would give this lock a 5-star rating.I started having problems with the connectivity of this lock last summer, yet I was able to delete the lock from My Q, reinstall it, and it seemed to work. Recently, the app would not control the lock again. After multiple attempts to reconnect the lock in the app, then delete/install the lock in the app, and then delete/reinstall the app, it still would not connect.I called Chamberlin, and they said to call Yale. After multiple attempts to remedy the issue through Yale, I determined that the wifi module had to be bad. At that point, Yale admitted that they had severed their relationship with My Q and could not acquire a new My Q module. They offered a solution of using their module and their app for wifi connection. That sounded like it would solve the issue. However, with a bit of research, the biggest complaint about their module is that it drains the batteries in a few weeks to a month. I could go almost a year on the My Q module in this Yale lock before replacing the batteries. They did give me a phone number for My Q. I just wanted to purchase a new module. I called the number and it was answered “Chamberlin”. They were unable to assist beyond what I had already attempted to get the Yale lock reconnected through the My Q app. I tried to purchase a My Q module through Chamberlin and they stated they don’t sell the modules. Well, now I thought I’m at a loss.With a bit more research I found out that Chamberlin Group owns Chamberlin, Liftmaster, and My Q amongst others. I found it curious why “Chamberlin Group” couldn’t supply a My Q module when they own the company. To their credit, they put in a request to replace the lock. We’ll see how that pans out. Why not just supply a new module?Last summer I installed two of these identical locks at my daughter’s (before I started having problems with mine). I had problems getting the locks connected through the app. Eventually I got one lock connected and did not get the other one connected. I appears that the problem lies with the My Q module.Knowing all of this, I definitely would not recommend this lock; therefore, the one star.Update:Other reviews of this lock state that you can only have one lock per hub. If correct, that answers why I couldn't get my daughter's second lock connected. There is only one hub with her set up, and the Liftmaster garage door opener isn't a My Q opener.

Bought this to couple with a MyQ garage door opener. Whenever Amazon delivers a package, this unit will lock automatically before the garage door opens. It then unlocks after the garage door closes. Great peace of mind and convenience.Lock is good quality and has nice appearance. Install was pretty simple on an existing door.

I wish I had known that Liftmaster's home MyQ products do not play well with their commercial MyQ products even though they have the same app.My business uses MyQ to control our garage doors (we have over 20) and our automated outside gates. We use the commercial Liftmaster devices because of our heavy use, our commercial grade garage doors and gates and the fact that the commercial stuff opens way faster. So far, so good.Bought this. Installed it. Easy, no problem. Tried to get it on the network and recognized. No go. Spent a few hours following instructions and trying again. Door worked fine, just didn't work through the app even though it was supposed to. My business partner tried without success. Our IT staff tried and failed. Tech support through Liftmaster wasn't much help.After an evening of frantic googling, I discovered that this doesn't play nicely with the commercial MyQ bridge -- even though that bridge is labeled as though it will work and is the most expensive bridge Liftmaster sells. This is not mentioned anywhere in the documentation or in the product description. I had to buy a second residential grade bridge to make it work.Once I did that, it worked great. Showed up in the app and I could operate all my old stuff and this new door lock right there in the app. Now, you would think I could have just replaced the bridge with the one that works with this lock, but you'd be mistaken. The door lock won't recognize my commercial bridge and my commercial doors and gates won't recognize the bridge this lock uses.It's absolutely insane. They're all MyQ products. They all show in the same app at the same time. But they really aren't compatible. I really expected more here and it detracts some from an otherwise fantastic product.Other than that, the lock works great and is amazing. Easy to code, easy to use, and secure. You couldn't really ask for more but it looks nice too and is a joy to operate. I want to give it five stars but I can't due to the installation issues.

**** STOP - READ THIS REVIEW ***** I have a large home and have the MyQ app integrated to operate much of my equipment / home... this includes 4 Chamberlin MyQ gate openers, 2 garage MyQ door keypads, 10 MyQ / Chamberlain Hubs, 5 MyQ smart garage door controls and 10 - of these Yale - Liftmaster Smart locks with key pads... I use an iPhone, so as instructed, I downloaded the app for iPhone... please understand when I say setting this equipment with my iPhone was / has been a train wreck.. customer support is non-existent. one lock would set up properly and the next would not set up to save my life.... just for the heck of it, I bought a 45.00 unlocked Android phone off Amazon and set it up to work off my Wifi and enabled Bluetooth. I downloaded the MyQ app on the Android phone and within 1-minute I could set up any of my devices without one issue / problem... these locks are amazing and can operate anywhere in the world. just save yourself a ton of frustration and spend 45.00 and install them using an Android device with the MyQ app and you too will love these locks

Good lock, they need to get really clear on the modules that are in these. Be aware that there are different locks with different modules. If you by one with out the one that works with Amazon, it will not connect to Alexa. There are no error messages or anything to indicate it is failing to pair because of the wrong module. Make sure you check before you buy.

I've had this deadbolt for less than a month. On initial installation, after following their instructions trying to initialize the lock (over an hour wasted here), I broke down and call their support line. They went through the installation process multiple times with me and it continued to fail at different steps. They then determined that the communications module was faulty and sent me another one. This was supposed to be expedited. It wasn't. So a week passes and I still do not have a functioning lock. I got the new module and installed it and the the full installation process went through as it was supposed to.This lasted a week and a half and the lock started failing. I called support. Their solution was to reinstall the lock. OK. That fixed the problem . . . for about three days. I call back to let them know that it was failing again. The rep says that I "may" have a defective unit. She had me reinstall it. It worked.A few days later it fails again. this time I got state-side support and the rep confided in me that Yale did not manufacture the early versions of this lock (even though it bears their name) and that since I didn't by it directly from them I might have received old stock. So we reinstall again and he is going to escalate this to the engineers. They are the only ones who can tell if this is old stock or not. They should be back to us in a couple of weeks.The lock fails again. This time it's on the weekend so there is no phone support. I proceed to reinstall the lock as we always have, only this time it won't reinstall. After numerous attempts it finally worked.I thought Yale to be a trusted name. It isn't anymore. Don't waste your time with this.

Install was easy, even though I had to drill hole bigger.I already had the garage door and entry door hooked on MyQ, so linking was fast and easy.I use the garage one for many years. Very good products.

Great lock but needed to hire someone to help install. I couldn’t figure out the instructions. Once installed- exactly what it promised.

These are the worst locks I have ever seen or heard of. The locks (I bought 3 of them) lock all by themselves whenever you get close to them, including when you are shutting the door. This causing the deadbolt to slam into the casing. Damaging the casing and doors themselves. Not only did these locks wreck 2 of the 3 door they are on, I paid nearly a thousand dollars for them.Don’t waste your money.

Update: Rating decreased from 3 stars to 1 star. The actual deadbolt mechanism (not the motor or electronics) has failed twice now. Each time after approximately 10 months. The movement of the deadbolt becomes sticky and the motor can't overcome it.********When new this lock works very well. However the lock that I replaced used a smaller hole in the door. This required me to get a metal hole saw 2 1/8" to enlarge the opening in the door so this would fit. Making this hole bigger is not easy to do even with a hole saw. Trying to keep it straight is a challenge. Check your lock hole size before you buy. Also, the price of this was quite high. I bought this one because it pairs with MyQ. This isn't really useful though since you can't assign temporary codes with the app :(
