I got rid of my Amazon Fire Stick (No offense Amazon, but that Firestick was doing too much, lagging, etc... and had to go!) and switched to this Google Streamer 4k instead!!!(...As I'm sure a lot of people are doing now!)This literally arrived overnight! I ordered it at like 6 pm, and then literally had this in my hands the next day at 11 am! Love the super fast shipping!I love my new Google Streamer! It was super easy to set up, and customize! I love how I was able to customize it exactly to my liking! Quick and easy! It connects to the internet easy with no problems!(ONE SUPER IMPORTANT NOTE FOR GOOGLE: The screen that keeps popping up about Gemini and then wont let me search for apps or do anything else, is really annoying! There is no way to get rid of it because it keeps popping up no matter what button you push or what you agree too! I did find a way around it for now, so I didnt take off a star! I do recommend Google listens to all the complaints about this issue, and fixes this glitch as soon as possible though!!! I can see a lot of people giving up and just returning this because of that!!!)It comes with a cute little remote that is so smooth and fits in my hand comfortably! Plus, it has a way to locate the remote if you loose it! I definitely appreciate that feature! Also, the remote was so easy to set up too! It can turn on/off my TV, and control the volume, so now I use it as my main remote!You can tell the Google Streamer unit itself is durable and high quality. It doesnt need batteries! It just needs a HDMI cord, and a place to plug it into the wall!Im getting way better picture, and sound, with this new Google streamer too! It may be in part because I got a super nice HDMI Cord, but this device is just so much better overall!This Google streamer is so much faster and smoother than my Firestick was! My firestick was always lagging and acting up, but this streamer is so much better! I don't have to worry about a frozen screen or lagging device/or stream!Overall, I am very happy that I made the switch! It's quick and easy to set up everything, it has clear picture and better sound, it doesn't lag or get frozen, and there are many great things about this that im loving!If anything changes after a while of using this, I will do my best to update about it here!

Great streamer. No connection issues so far over wifi, good amount of storage space, fast, and like the functionality of it controlling the tv as well. Controls old Sony tv and newer Samsung tv without issue.

Apps load fast, and navigation feels responsive without lag.I also love how organized the Google TV interface is, making it simple to find content from different streaming services in one place. The voice remote works well for searching shows and controlling playback, and the overall design looks sleek and modern. Overall, this streamer delivers a great entertainment experience and is definitely worth it for anyone upgrading their home setup.

I used Fire Stick products for over five years, and honestly, I finally got tired of the same issues over and over again. The performance was never great, the storage space was too limited, the processor always felt underpowered, and the overall experience slowly became more frustrating than useful. My 4K Max Fire Stick had started slowing down again after about four years of ownership, and at that point it was clear I needed to move on.What really pushed me away from Amazon was the direction they appear to be going with their operating system and how much control they want to keep over devices that customers already paid for. I do not like the idea of buying a product, owning it, and then having the manufacturer continue to lock things down or limit what I can do with it. At that point, what is the purpose of ownership if the company still controls the experience?After looking around for something better, I found the Google TV Streamer, and the product specs alone put it far ahead of the Fire Stick line. It has more storage, better performance, and everything integrates smoothly. After using it for several weeks, I cannot overstate how pleased I am with it. In fact, I am kicking myself for not ditching the Fire Stick lineup sooner.Amazon has definitely fallen behind. The combination of a weaker product, limited storage, sluggish performance, and a more restrictive user experience makes it feel like they are not really listening to consumers anymore. Say what you want about Google, but in this category, their product is clearly leaps and bounds ahead.I love the Google TV Streamer. It is faster, cleaner, smoother, and gives me a much better overall experience. Even if you want something like the Silk browser, you can sideload it or use another browser that fits your needs. Compared to the Fire Stick, I honestly do not see any real downsides. This was a major upgrade, and I wish I had made the switch sooner.

Streamer works very well and is much quicker than old chromecasts, especially when scrolling through channels. I was replacing older chromecasts which had become very laggy, sometimes wouldn't respond, and often lost the wifi connection.I got 2 of these (in different colors) for different TVs. The first one connected almost immediately and sailed through the setup process. The second one refused to connect with a "can't connect" message. Neither scanning the QR code nor entering the on screen code manually worked. I reset the device per the instructions, and then it connected, as it should have the first time.

I have a samsung QLED 65 inch and the tizen operating system is terrible!!!! I was about ready to buy a Hisense U8 75 inch just for the google TV and the remote, this google streamer is great!!!! the remote is terrible but almost all remotes are, the Hisense has the best remote so if you want a good remote buy a hisense TV and get google TV with it, I had a samsung phone and that was terrible too, I went to the Motorola razr...I wasted thousands on samsung

Setup was a breeze, including pairing the remote. Gave life back to a 10yo Samsung smart TV who's apps don't load or update anymore. Very good pictures, fast loading and switching live to apps and back. First media streamer that I have had with no lag. Has made cutting cable a pleasure. Plays a giant selection of live channels including some local news, and is so quick and easy to jump into apps. The Google TV menu is so easy to use, and connects to Google play to download any number of apps. The voice control (using Google Gemini) is very good, gets it right first time. Would have preferred a backlit remote for night time use but the remote is simple enough to get used to. Big plus is the Google TV remote control on your phone that you can pair with TV to give you additional controllers.

So, this streamer is great at what it says it can do. It has nice hardware, plenty of RAM and storage, so that your apps will load fast all the time AND you'll have plenty of room for many, many apps. I'm impressed... but also disappointed in some lacking features.I have a device called an Amigo 7x. Very "rare" and not really that popular, BUT it's amazing. It's as fast as the Google TV Streamer at opening apps, how fast pages load, how apps can load back to right where you were after going back to the home screen, etc. I'm sure the newer Google model has some extra codecs or something that the Amigo 7x doesn't have as it is an older product than this Google TV Streamer. I am glad the the Google model has 1 Gigabit Ethernet, though. My Amigo 7x only has 100 Mbit Ethernet, BUT that's more than enough for streaming from any app EXCEPT my 25-50GB movies on Plex. But I can use Wi-Fi and it is just as responsive.Now, here's what I'm a bit disappointed in. The Amigo 7x has 2x USB ports. A USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 port. A MicroSD card slot. Then it has HDMI and Ethernet, which the Google device has, also. On the Amigo 7x, I can plug in a wired Xbox controller and it not only recognizes it, it recognizes the model of the controller. I have a BT mouse that is BT 5.2 and also has a 2.4ghz adapter. I can connect that adapter to the other USB port and use the mouse on the Amigo 7x and then switch to BT and control my PC... all from my living room (PC is in another room with an HDMI cable connected to my TV).So.. I have mixed feelings. I really gained no functionability dropping a Benjamin on this thing.4 stars because it lacks features that a much cheaper, mostly unheard of model has and doesn't do anything any faster/quicker/better that I've seen. The Amigo 7x supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG, Dolby Digital Plus.. I mean, it seems to do everything the Google model does and more. So, that's why I'm a bit disappointed.It is NOT worth it at this price. That's the truth. HOWEVER, if you're considering this or something like the Amazon Fire Stick, then from what I've seen at my friend's house with his Amazon Fire Stick (some 4K version), go with the Google model. The Amazon model is SO slow. Way underpowered or lacking in RAM or something to smoothly operate.If you happen to have an Amigo 7x, no need to go to the Google model. I do need to test how Steam Link works and GeForce now on each. I assume the Google model does handle those things better, so if THAT is something you must have, then upgrade to the Google TV Streamer.Haven't had any issues out of it, though.

My old smart tv was getting dumb and laggy, especially for YouTube. Was about to buy a new TV when I chanced upon this.Wow. Fast, smooth, snappy. No lag when scrolling YouTube.Saved me the trouble of getting a new TV. Highly recommended.
