How about this for our family white elephant Christmas after it was opened everyone wish they had gotten the package first. It was a great big hit.

This is a gift for my son. But honestly I can’t believe the amount of stuff in this box. The price was great. Excellent buy.

I am not much of a whiskey drinker, but I was excited to use this kit to infuse a spiced rum. I infused a local Hawaiian brand called Mahina, which has too much of an ethanol burn flavor for casual drinking. I infused with crushed vanilla bean, cinnamon stick, crushed allspice berries, shaved nutmeg, a few wedges of fresh ginger, and a large amount of lemon peel granules, and allowed the mixture to sit for about a week (the 6-24 hour range didn't do enough to soften the burn). Eventually the infusion did significantly improve the rum, eliminating some of the edge and making it much easier to drink.I used a combination of the 14 included infusing ingredients along with a few items I already had in my kitchen. The included ingredients did not seem inferior in any way. The glass bottles provided in the kit are well-made and the filters and funnel worked effectively to transfer the liquid without spills. It was easy to remove the infusing materials from the final "potion" without leaving behind any sediment or making a mess during the transfer process.This is a functional set for anyone interested in experimenting with spirit infusions. The hardware is practical, and the variety of included ingredients provides a good starting point for testing different flavor profiles. It is a useful kit for fixing a harsh bottle of liquor or simply creating something custom for a home bar. I often pick up unknown local spirits to try and support local small business, and unfortuantely that often ends in disappointment. I can definitely see myself relying on this kit often to redeem some of those purchasing mistakes that would otherwise have sat unused for years.

If you are a beginner to mixology, but you have a desire to experiment, then this set has everything you are looking for. The user manual that comes with the set has recommendations of how to use each of the 14 ingredients in Whiskey and/or Gin, but these can also be used in other spirits to bring interest to your cocktails. Each infusion will use only a small amount of ingredients so, in my case, it will take many years for me to use it all, and I will probably replace stale botanicals before they are gone.The box is very well packaged and the included decanters are attractive and good for the infusion process, but they are not to be considered the showpiece on your top shelf. The stainless steel tongs (tweezers) are helpful in selecting the precise amount of the botanical that you need because too much is TOO MUCH which can have disastrous results. The filters, strainer and funnel are essential for a good end product. Experiment and enjoy.Good:• The user manual provides excellent advice for anyone new to infusing spirits: which botanical to use, what does it do to the flavor, and how long will to infuse; this information is important because each one has different characteristics.• This set is beautifully packaged for gift giving. It includes everything you need.Not so good:• The instructions do not really tell you how much to use. The manual recommends “use sparingly” or “minimal”. Experimentation and close monitoring is the only way that you will zero in on what is just right for your taste.Be aware:• Pay attention to the advice in the user manual. Over-steeping the infusion can extract the bitterness of the botanical or cause it to overpower the spirits with an aroma that detracts from the pleasure of the experience. A complex infusion of multiple botanicals may be best accomplished by multiple, successive infusions of different botanicals instead of doing it all at once. Taste as you go so that you don’t accidentally cross that line from fabulous to auwgh God Awful.Final thoughts:• It appears that mixology is like medicine. It is a practice. Sometimes it works out but you continually learn along the way.

My first impression when I received this alcohol infusion kit was wow what a beautiful box then I opened it and was absolutely stunned by the amount of items and the completeness of this kit. This 57 piece alcohol infusion kit comes complete with two absolutely gorgeous decanters, a full instruction user manual with recipes, one bar spoon, one set of ice cube tongs, set of tweezers, six whiskey stones, 14 different spice bottles for infusion, one stainless steel funnel, one stainless steel strainer, 10 small labels for the decanters, and 20 filter bags for the different spices. This is the most complete alcohol infusion kit I have ever come across it is absolutely gorgeous and stunning. I can definitely see why they say this would make an amazing gift set if somebody were to give this to me I would be ecstatic. Myself being a whiskey lover I have tested out a couple different infusions and have been very pleased. All of the pieces in this kit are of extremely high quality and are all high-end pieces. This is one of those items that is far more value than it's cost. I will be enjoying this kit for a very long time.I would highly recommend this kit to whiskey lovers or anyone that would like to get into infusing other types of alcohol as well. I will be doing some experimentation with some of the Mead that we personally make. I believe this kit will compliment many of our Meads. All of my recommendations are based off of quality, value for your money, quality of material and supplies, completeness of kits, aesthetics, and usefulness. This alcohol infusion kit far exceeded my expectations and I'm pleased to say I fully endorse this kit and will be recommending it to family and friends as well as purchasing a few more as gifts.

I ordered this alcohol infusion kit as I make my own infusions several times a year, and I thought this would make a great gift for friends who have expressed in interest in starting to make their own. This kit comes with two small glass decanters, a strainer, a funnel, large tweezers, small tongs, a clear plastic swizzle stick, two filter bags, paper labels, and six whiskey cubes you can freeze and use in your drink rather than ice. It also comes with 14 small vials filled infusion ingredients. The ingredients include things like dried lemon, cloves, peppermint, white chrysanthemum, jasmine, osmanthus, codonopsis, and rose petals. On the plus side, it comes packaged nicely and would make for a great visual presentation if you gift it.As I primarily ordered this to infuse bourbon and whiskey, many of these would not be appropriate. As this is food type material, I checked the label for ingredients and where it was made. There is absolutely no food labeling on these bottles at all. Without labels, I am unable to understand their origin, and additional ingredients that it might contain, or if it meets U.S. food safety regulations. Because of this, I would not ingest these, or use them in drinks I am going to ingest, and I decided to keep the set rather than give it as a gift. Trying to salvage some use of this kit, I thought it might be interesting to use the vials, or at least some of vials, them, as aroma testers to help pick out the different aromas we are smelling in the complex nose of a bourbon. For example, we smelled the lemon vial and then tried to see if we could detect it in the nose of the bourbon. Unfortunately, only a few of the vials actually smelled like what they were supposed to be. The overall quality of the tools are ok, other than the stirrer, which is essentially a very thin clear plastic swizzle stick. We have disposed of the vials and will only use the tools and the two decanters. Because of this, I would not say this is a good value for the money.

This alcohol infusion kit was purchased so we could try different flavors mostly with whiskey, but it can also be used with rum, vodka, and other spirits. The kit comes with two pretty good sized glass containers that feel solid and well made for infusing alcohol. It also includes a variety of utensils and accessories that help round out the set.The infusion botanical flavors are decent overall. My favorite so far is the orange peel, which adds a nice clean citrus note. I would personally like to see another version of the kit that includes more coffeehouse inspired flavors, such as salted caramel or similar profiles.The kit is very straightforward to use and easy to get started with. The infusion process should sit for at least 48 hours, although leaving it longer can create a stronger and more intense flavor depending on preference. Overall, this is a great gift idea for any alcohol enthusiast and it allows you to get creative with mixing flavors and adjusting intensity to your liking.

This is a great gift option! This infusion kit came with a lot of options for infusions with clear instructions for the different types of infused alcohols you could do. And to top it off, the pricing was great for what you get in the kit, including a decanter to hold your creation in!
