This is one of the most affordable pet fountains I've come across, and that being considered, this is a great little fountain for the price. It was pretty easy to put together and start using right away. I was wary about buying a plastic fountain rather than stainless steel because cats tend to get acne from using plastic surfaces, but so far so good! The whole unit being dishwasher safe is a huge plus, because you can ensure that everything truly gets clean. Speaking of cleanliness, the filters also seem more effective than some other carbon filters I've tried, and the larger sponge also helps. In terms of noise, the fountain has been pretty quiet if it has enough water, but like any other fountain gets noisier if it's low. The light indicating the water level is also very helpful! I have some concerns about long term durability because of the plastic, but it feels decently sturdy for now. I'll be sure to update my review if it becomes an issue. All in all, if you need a lightweight, easy to clean, and very affordable fountain for 1 kitty or small dog, this is a good choice!

Years ago my cats had a fountain but it drove me insane because of how gross it got. I was happy to see this brand as I have a few of their products that are great.I was immediately happy bc the instructions tell you to take apart the pump and clean it. Being able to really clean these things makes a big difference in their lifespan. Altogether it was easy to clean and put together. It has some nice quality of life features like a cap for the cord, leds, and pump strength to control noise. The bowl is swallower, but that's great it helps keep the water flowing and filtered better. It's been running smooth! I've really liked all of my products from this brand.My only complaint is that I cant ever see the water level unless I'm eye level with it (for me that's on the ground lol). I don't know what it is, but for some reason the area you're supposed to see is just blue LED shining lol. However, like any water pump you can tell when it needs more water as it gets progressively louder. I've just been topping off with ice and filtered water no issues.

The fountain came packaged very good. The assembly was easy to put together. I like that it has a light and that it turns red once the water is low. It did look bigger in the picture so it’s a little on the smaller side. As far as the price it’s a little costly for the size. I have a lot of cats and most of them love it. Cleaning isn’t difficult and it’s not a loud fountain.

I love the PetSafe Viva Pet Water Fountain because it’s super quiet, easy to clean, and keeps my cat’s water fresh. The dishwasher-safe design makes maintenance simple, and the included filters help keep the water clear. Ever since I got it, my cat drinks more, and I feel better knowing she’s staying hydrated. A++++++

We were honestly very disappointed in this fountain. We normally love PetSafe fountains, but this is the first time we have had one that we just can't use. While the large fountain can hold 140 oz, the lip bowl area is the same size as the smaller fountain. While it holds more water, it is very difficult for large dogs to drink out of it without draining the top part of the fountain. The most it can hold is about 1.5 inches of water without it going into the overflow. We are returning the fountain to get one more designed for larger dogs, which is a disappointment since we wanted a smaller, cheaper fountain for travel.

I didn’t keep this item. I unfortunately received a used returned item. When I opened the box, nothing was wrapped and the plastic bag used to cover the items was rolled in a ball. The inside of the unit had dried water droplets. Very frustrating. Since it was already returned by someone else, I did not attempt to find out if there was anything wrong with it. Giving three stars because others seemed to like it, and I did not review the quality.

Second replacement we’ve received. Both started leaking water after a week. Super great until it leaks water every where.

Our cats love the center pump placement for the way it bubbles up the center of the fountain. Holds a large capacity of water, and very easy to clean.Has an easily visible tank, and the blue light turns red when low capacity. 10/10

Bought the "wrong" one (I intended to buy the cheaper stainless steel version) and would have sent it back except for the fact my cat likes drinking out of it. I have a small apartment so the "dripping" noise (like a faulty water faucet) is slightly annoying but I just unplug it at night.

This is almost silent when running. The cats love it and it’s nice to have running water for them. Assembly instructions included and there are adapters to use the fountain in other countries which have different electrical sockets from ours. Love it.

As a seasoned user of a cat fountain from another well known brand I was keen to compare this to my old model.It's a good size for a cat, frequent small top ups keep the water fresher than filling a too large reservoir.The LED light allows the fill level to be seen and provides a night light which is useful when being called to the kitchen during the night to see to the needs of the Lord of the Manor. If the level starts to run too low it gets noisier then shuts off.When I chose my previous fountain I chose one with a stainless steel top for the look which required regular descaling to avoid permanent staining by limescale build up. This fountain is all white plastic and one clear advantage of this is limescale build up doesn't show on the top so less frequent descaling is possible.The filter keeps the water fresh, traps fur and dust etc.. I'm guilty of changing the filter too infrequently, I wait till the cat won't drink then when I check it the filter is full and there's usually green growing inside the water chamber, I am used to taking the internal workings apart to clean everything with a toothbrush at every filter change so setting this up and taking it apart to clean it is not unexpected.I ordered this at £46.20 which I felt was too much for an all plastic fountain. It is currently £35.99 which is still more than many all plastic fountains although it will be on 24/7 and Petsafe is a well known brand with replacement filters readily available, many will take this known reliability into consideration.Be aware it took c. 1 month to arrive so it's not for those in urgent need.
