The magnifying mirror is completely unusable. I used it for 5 minutes and felt dizzy with eye strain.

I can't really complain about that, though, as the size is clearly disclosed in the listing. I'm using a plug-in version that's a bit taller, and since I've got, um, vintage countertops in the bath (ie not comfort height), even as a short person, this smaller version is just a bit too short for me to use comfortably. I may be able to put it on top of something and get a better standing angle, but for now this isn't getting as much use as I'd like. The end goal is to get rid of the wired one and therefore lose some cord clutter. The magnification on this is the same as my other one, and the lights seem comparable in terms of color and brightness. This has some weight so it feels sturdy, but isn't heavy. There's no real assembly involved here, so that's not an issue. I haven't been able to use it enough to run out the battery but in my case as long as it's reasonable it'll be fine, even if it's not impressive in terms of performance length. At about $40 (price at time of review), it's about the same as I spent on my wired one, which is several years old. If it holds up once I'm able to use it more regularly, this would prove to be a better value than my wired one.

This review is for the PJE Vanity Mirror with Lights. I got this to replace my current vanity mirror which does not have lights so that I could better see those pesky chin hairs that need plucking.Here is what I liked:The mirror is two sided - a normal side and a magnified side. The mirror is clear and not distorted.Both sides have lights - ring light style all the way around the mirror for even coverage and no shadows.The mirror has a brightness control, and it is dimmer-style rather than just having a couple different levels.There are three different color temperatures. I haven't had a need for them all but it's very neat!It looks nice. Not sure what it is made out of but it looks classy.The overall build quality feels solid and well made. No squeaky or loose hinges.I LOVE that you can charge it and then unplug instead of having a cord always connected.I got it 1.5 months ago and so far I have only had to charge it once.Here is what I liked less (but are mostly just preference):It is pretty lightweight, and my preference would be a slightly heavier base that I didn't feel like I was going to knock over.It is bigger than my old mirror, and for my dresser size a smaller mirror would fit better.The dimmer control is on the mirror surface itself, which is less intuitive for me. However, it comes with a sticker there to give a hint to dummies like me.*It is not a standard USB-C charging port.*The current price is $52.99. As much as I like the mirror and think it is very functional, I feel that is pretty costly for a vanity mirror. That being said, more chin hairs are appearing every day, so my opinion on the value might change!

The micro‑USB charging port on the bottom of the mirror arrived misaligned, making it impossible to plug in the supplied charging cable without applying force to reposition the port. Although it appears fixable, this raises concerns about durability and long term reliability.Overall, the mirror performs well once set up, but the charging port issue could be an issue for buyers expecting better quality control at this price.
