I used to have a big, bulky, plug-in water flosser. It was always coming apart, and took up a lot of space, and I hated using it. This water flosser however is so much easier to use, and is portable as well. I especially appreciate that I can remove the bottom by simply squeezing two tabs and pulling down. This lets me ensure that the interior dries before storing it. To fill, you hold it horizontally and open a port on the back and let the water stream in. I tend to use plain tap water (lukewarm) for my regular water flossing, however if I have gum inflammation or irritation I will add either mouthwash or a little hydrogen peroxide to the tank before filling. I have several implants/crowns and a permanent retainer across my lower teeth, so normal flossing doesn't cut it. This is also very simple to operate, just two buttons, mode (change between 6 pressure settings) and on/off. It's important to choose the right pressure - too low, and it's not effective, too high and it can cause pain. When using I like to run the tip along the gums so I can tactilely feel when it is between each tooth, then I will angle the tip to the left and right, up and down, to make sure I get full coverage. I do this once along the top and bottom on the outside, and then again from the back side. Around the implants, I spend more time - it really gets all the debris out, it's kind of gross. It's important to hover over the sink while you do this. The tank size is enough to get through my cleaning routing if I don't delay. It doesn't matter too much if I run out though, it's super simple to refill. One downside to a fixed position flosser like this compared to my old plug-in flosser is that I can't use this for household cleaning tasks because if you invert it to angle it down, it no longer picks up water. It doesn't detract from its stated purpose though. You can definitely find water flossers that are less expensive, but I can tell you after trying cheaper ones that: the quality of the water stream matters, the ability to change between a wide range of pressures matter, and the ability to open the water tank so it can dry matters a ton, so I think this is the right choice for me.

This water flosser has been amazing to use from getting in between teeth and really pumping out some power when using it!There's a variety of different heads you can use which is nice to tailor what water "texture" you're looking for.There's different modes in strength too in case you've got more sensitive gums and lasts quite a while on a charge.The main gripe I have is the fact that the water reservoir is quite small and depletes in about a minute or two which isn't substantial enough for me to get a good clean. The different settings are good for people who haven't used a water flosser before, so they can start using it on a lower pressure. I only use the one tip attachment that just sprays the water in a stream. It has two of those and two other tlp attachments.I've had several brands of water flossers. I really like this one because of the hinged bottom. That makes it easy to open to be able to clean the inside of the tank. Not feeling like I am able to keep the water flossers clean has been a big problem for me. That's why I was happy to see cleaning it made easier.
