Great color of blue, printed with ease and no changes in settings needed for the Bambu P1S with Ams. It did not need to be dried, out of the package and printing without any problems. No breaks or jams, this stuff is great and at an amazing price for no fuss no muss. A great alternative to buying bambu filaments that are always out of stock.

Good :Temperature up to 70°CTimer up to 98 hoursModern control panelIntegral power supply (not a separate box)Bad :Noisy at first, but not after temperature has stabilizedCosts moreSo I have the original SH01 filament dryer also so I can directly compare the old and the new together.Power :SH01 48W with separate multi-voltage power supply 12V 4A 2.1mm barrel jackSH02 150W built-in power supply. The heater and fan are both more powerful so this makes sense having larger power consumption. SH02 has one built into the unit so there is only the power cable (figure of 8) requiredNoise :SH01 fan did start to rattle and become noisy after a while. It would be a cheap fan in there unfortunately.SH02's fan with the cover off is very noisy. However the lid when closed (as it should be) reduces this a lot. Whilst it is still increasing to target temperature it still is noisy. But after target reached and just maintaining temperature is relatively quiet. I could probably sleep through this. And would be quieter than a 3D printer itself. But time will tell whether the fan is of higher build quality for a longer life or notControls :SH01 only has 3 buttons which were not that intuitive.SH02's controls are somewhat flashy in comparison being touchscreen. Tapping the power button does nothing, you have to hold it down to power up & down showing an animation of display appearing (see video).Temperature :SH01 has 40/45/50°C only.SH02 has 40/45/50/55/60/65/70°C choices. You can use the presets can be chosen between PLA, TPU, PETG, ABS, ASA, PVA, PC, PA, PP which will choose recommended heat/timer settings too.Timer :SH01 can be set from 6-12 hours in 1 hour incrementsSH02 you can manually set the temperature between 40°C and 70°C and the timer between 2 hours and 98 hours. I guess for those moments when you really want to be sure the moisture is gone!Other SH02 features not on SH01There are two desiccant holders at the bottom which measure 70mm x 50mm x 10mm. The ones in the photo show the color-changing silica gel I have fit nicely. Also there is a hole at the top of the lid labeled "OPEN THIS TO LET VAPOR OUT"Other observationsI placed a thermometer/hygrometer on top of my filament whilst drying. There was a 1%-2% humidity difference between dryer display temp and my own sensor. Temperature differed by about 2°C less whilst at target temp. Despite the label at the bottom that reads "CAUTION: VOLTAGE 110V HOT ROTATING SHAFT" this is a multi-voltage device that will work on 110V or 220V in those countries. The angle of the filament holes are slightly different. It shouldn't make much of a different for placement for those that print directly from the filament dryer.ConclusionYes it costs more, but also so much more capable filament dryer. Worth the price to me.

Note this is the first time I've ever used a filament dryer, which after my many, MANY years of using a 3d printer without one, kinda labels me as totally crazytown that I didn't get one sooner. So, during this Christmas I made a bunch of things for my brother and sister. Along the way, I wanted to use some of my very old Sain Smart black TPU for friction fit lids for small containers. Soon as I set it printing, omg pops and crackles galore. It had sat on a shelf in a bag for years and was FULL of moisture. It was so bad off that it was actually leaving holes in the layer lines each time it would pop. I did order some new Sain Smart clear TPU but then I noticed that it too was crackling a bit after several days of use. Not bad enough to foul the prints, but it wasn't my only two spools to do it either. I also had an old-ish spool of ABS+ filament doing the same thing, and a very old spool of Taulman 910 popping the worst I've ever seen a filament crackle . This got me thinking; how many spools of filament do I want to have to get rid of because of moisture, and WHY haven't I gotten a dryer all these years?!So I got the Sovol SH02 with the really slick touchscreen LCD interface and plopped that crackling spool of Sain Smart black TPU into it. Figured out how to work the settings and had it go for a combined total of about 20 hours give or take at 55C. Finally decided to press it into service tonight on some hole plugs for a shelving unit, and am pleasantly surprised to report that while it is still sizzling a bit, it's very faint now, and it's not affecting the printing at all. It's printing beautifully just like it did when it was new. Nice and shiny, no gaps, no pops, no weird warping or layer separation or bed curling or any of that. It's behaving very nicely. I also printed myself a custom filament tensioner for the extruder to better handle TPU (this printer always had problems with feeding TPU) and now I don't even have feed problems anymore. Absolute power! :-)The dryer isn't silent but the noise it does make isn't that bad, it's a soft whirring noise in your background. It's a nice, sleek unit that neatly holds two standard 1KG spools of filament side by side on two roller bearing rails that spin very fluidly. The top has one hole for letting out heated air and water vapor, and also two front facing holes for filament to pass so you can run your filaments through and print while drying. For very long print times with very hygroscopic filaments, this is exactly what you want. And if you're like me and you're keeping filaments around for forever and a day, this just might save you having to throw old ones out due to moisture problems. And the LCD panel lets you quickly choose presets for all the popular filaments (PETG, ABS, TPU, PLA) as well as a bunch of specialty ones like PC, ASA, PVA, PP, and PE. You can easily reset your run time at any time so as to keep going, otherwise it will neatly turn itself off when the timer runs out. Default is 8 hours.Next on my list to try is to de-crap my ancient Taulman 910 which I never even tried to print with, and that old-ish spool of ABS+ which is not only crackling but also actually breaking. Never seen ABS+ do that before, but it's most of a spool unused and I'm no way just going to let that stand. If I can resurrect it, then that's a huge win right there. Otherwise it's just really nice to know that when I have crackling filament, this thing will easily resolve it.There may be better machines out there and cheaper, I wouldn't know. But you can't go wrong with this one. :-)

I bought SH03, 4 spool dryer. I did tons of research and this unit was the best one in terms of features and ability for the price. Offering what most units costing $60 to $100+ more would run you.It works great, and keeps humidity low, with it's auto humidity setting. Something the smaller SH02 doesn't have. It's able to get to temps quickly and efficiently, reaching up to 85° C. It fixed the condonation issues the previous model had as well. It's on the quieter side in my opinio, but could be quiter. Build quality feels good, particularly for the price point. Though I find it's visual aesthetic to be less appealing, in my opinion. It's easy to operate, though i couldn't find how to enter the auto humidity setting in the manual it comes with, and had to look it up. (Select the side you want and hold the settings button for about 3 to 5 seconds.Overall I would say it's a good filamant dryer, especially for tye money. It offers features and performance above it's price range, with good build quality, and would definitely recommend to others. I just personally don't car for how it looks. For why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is because chamber 1 keeps turning on prematurey, well before hitting it's set max in auto humidity mode, when set to 20% humidity. However it's fine when set to 25% and operates as it should. Chamber 2 works fine with no issues, even set to 20%.

If you’re running a dual-extruder powerhouse like the Snapmaker U1, you already know that moisture is the enemy of precision. I recently picked up two Sovol Filament Dryers—one for each side of the machine—and it has completely transformed my workflow. Here is why this setup is a "must-have" for any serious maker.1. Seamless IDEX IntegrationThe Snapmaker’s design thrives on symmetry. By placing a Sovol dryer on both the left and right sides, you create a dedicated, climate-controlled path for both extruders. No more tangled spools: The rollers are buttery smooth.Direct Feeding: I run the PTFE tubes directly from the dryer outlets into the Snapmaker’s filament sensors. It looks professional and keeps the filament protected from the moment it leaves the spool until it hits the nozzle.2. Large Capacity Meets Compact FootprintMost dryers are either too small for 2kg spools or too bulky for a desk. The Sovol hits the sweet spot. It comfortably fits two standard 1kg spools or one giant 2kg spool. With two units, I can effectively keep four different materials prepped and bone-dry at once.3. Consistent Thermal PerformanceThe fan-assisted heating is the real hero here. Unlike "passive" heated boxes that leave cold spots, the Sovol circulates air efficiently.PLA/PETG: Stays crisp and string-free.Nylon/PVA: If you’re using the Snapmaker for complex supports (PVA), you need this. PVA turns into useless glue if it sees a drop of humidity; these dryers keep it in peak condition for days-long prints.4. Quiet & IntuitiveThe interface is dead simple—set your temp, set your timer, and forget it. Even with two units humming next to the printer, the noise level is negligible. It blends right into the cooling fan noise of the Snapmaker itself.Pro-Tip for Snapmaker Users:"If you’re printing high-temp materials, use the top exit port on the Sovol. It provides the straightest filament path to the J1/U1 print heads, reducing tension on the extruders and preventing underextrusion during fast movements."Final VerdictThe Snapmaker U1 is a premium machine; feeding it "wet" filament is like putting low-grade fuel in a race car. Buying two Sovol dryers is a relatively small investment that pays for itself in avoided print failures and flawless surface finishes. Highly recommended.

I've been told over the years that I needed to buy a filament dryer but I've resisted due to cost and only being able to dry one spot at a time but now that I've gotten this one I wish I would have gotten one earlier . In the pictures you can see a before and after . The filament I used was some of the oldest filament that I own so I wanted to see how well it would revive it and wow was I surprised after just 8 hours @ 50c in the dryer the filament wasn't brittle anymore.ProsAble to dry a variety of materialsCan dry up to 2 spools at one timeCan print directly from the machine.Bright and easy to read, use and understand touchscreenConsI wish it came with desiccant to replace in the dryer.I wish the fan was a bit quieter.I wish the rollers to feed the filament while printing from the box were a bit more smooth .

Printing with this PETG filament was a surprisingly smooth experience. PETG can be temperamental at times, but this spool performed beautifully; no stringing issues at all, and the tree supports came off effortlessly. The multicolor gradient is stunning and adds a unique touch to every print. From the moment I opened the package, I was impressed. The vacuum-sealed bag was airtight, and I always enjoy that satisfying hiss when puncturing the seal; like the filament taking its first breath. I pushed the limits a bit by printing faster than the recommended speeds, but it handled it like a champ. In fact, the very first print I ran was a 10-hour job, and it came out great (as shown in the photos). One feature I really appreciated was the clear indication of the color change interval—about every 26 feet. That helped me plan my prints more precisely and anticipate the transitions. Over the course of 20 hours of printing (roughly 90 meters or 270 grams), I didn’t run into any issues. If anything changes, I’ll be sure to update this review. The only thing I’d love to see is a wider variety of color options. With performance this solid, I’d definitely come back for more.Print Settings Used:🔥 Nozzle Temp: 230°C🌬️ Cooling Fan: 10%🛏️ Bed Temp: 70°C🚀 Print Speed: 100–200 mm/s

I’ve had the Sovol SH02 filament dryer for about a year now, and overall it’s been a solid addition to my setup. I mainly use it to dry PETG, and it definitely helps improve print consistency compared to printing straight from a humid spool. For the price, it does what it’s supposed to do.It heats up and seems to maintain the temperature. That said, I’ve found that you do need to “burp” it every few hours (briefly open it to let built-up moisture escape). If you don’t, it can trap humidity inside. Not a huge deal, but something to be aware of.The base does get fairly hot during operation. It hasn’t caused problems, but I ended up printing a small riser so it isn’t sitting directly on my table. The touch screen works fine, but you do have to press it pretty firmly for inputs to register. It’s not unresponsive, just not very sensitive.I also don’t find the filament outlet holes particularly usable for feeding directly into the printer. I mostly dry the filament first and then move the spool to my printer instead of printing directly from the box.Overall, it’s a good value dryer that works well, but it’s not perfect. For hobbyist use, though, it gets the job done.TL;DRPros:-Works well for drying PETG-Improves print quality and consistency-Maintains temperature reliablyCons:-Needs to be “burped” to release moisture-Base gets fairly hot-Touch screen requires firm pressure-Filament outlet holes aren’t very practical
