I have had this now for over three months and my initial opinion (being a doubting Thomas - that is my middle name after all) changed pretty rapidly to being a firm believer in this device. I was really attracted to the whole idea of having a heating pad that still allowed me to be mobile and continue on with life even though I might be in pain. Back to my initial opinion. I tried it immediately of course was so put off by the lowest heat level that I just didn't think I could handle it. I put a small towel between me and the Remo Heated Waist Wrap and that helped. But what really happened was you get a bad enough back ache and all of a sudden you can handle the 140-degree heat just fine and now it gets constant use here. I've even used it on my upper back and shoulder areas when, like right now, sitting at a computer for hours causes my shoulders and upper back to just be screaming in pain. So. Forgive all the cat and dog hair on the device in my video, but I tend to take it off and lay it down where various pets will find it and get all cozy on it. The 30-minute shut off is a good thing because it beeps to let me know it is shutting off - not that I wouldn't almost immediately feel the difference. It heats up as quickly as it will cool off. The listing makes a lot about the radiant heat technology and maybe that is what makes this so quick to heat and keep it that way. I can attest that it is a invaluable part of my day and my back and shoulders want to thank Remo for making this possible. Highly recommended.

Have you ever thrown your back out AND gotten your period AT THE SAME TIME? You don’t know which part of your body is the most uncomfortable. Luckily for me, I can use this turned forward or backward and keep moving. Normally I would swaddle myself on the sofa like a sickly Victorian child, but with this heated pad I could move until I found the position that gave temporary relief without sacrificing the warmth. I will say that the buzzing when the timer runs out is a bit alarming though.I have to store this in its original box because the amount of dog hair that sticks to it is appalling. I know that is a me problem, but the dogs aren’t getting any less hairy. I haven’t figured out if there is a way to remove the battery or wash this so that is a concern as well, especially if you get really sweaty while wearing a Velcro cummerbund. I think that the size and heat distribution is good though.Overall, though, I don’t find anything I’ve mentioned to be a deal breaker given the warm moist heat really helps relieve pain in the abdominal area. The price however, is a lot higher than similar products that appear to do the same thing.

I've had lower back pain since I was a little kid and am no stranger to trying to prop a plug in heating pad against your back while looking for some comfortable position on the couch. This this takes all that fuss out of the equation. I turned it on after a particularly achy day and the relief was almost instantaneous, way better than any heating pad I've ever used. I thought their claims of "far infrared" wavelengths were junk science but maybe there is something to it? It was very comfortable to wear although I put it on super loose because I'm a curvy girl; if it's on snuggly, it wants to ride up to my waist...not staying on my lower back. I went all Goldilocks on the heat settings, felt 3 was too hot, and 1 not hot enough but 2? 2 was just right! While the material is comfortable it's also a dust/hair/fuzzy magnet. We have a short haired dog and the hair wants to stick and embed in this material like that's its' job. I wish there was some sort of removable/washable cover for it. $80 is pretty pricey for a heating pad but if this continues to get rid of my back pain, it's worth it for my overall improvement in quality of life.

I wore this with an undershirt. Lightweight, minimal bulk, and practically unnoticeable under a loose shirt or coat. I loved its immediate infrared heat. It felt like wearing a high quality, breathable, custom-fit neoprene heating pad, snug around my back, sides and abdomen. While wearing it, I like pressing my back against a vehicle rest or a stationary bike back rest.I can hear and feel battery vibration to ensure it initiates, and be reminded when it ends 30 minute cycle. (But neither vibration, nor blue lights on panel is discreet). With 3 total heat settings, from medium I can instantly heat it more or turn it down by pushing the panel control button.Includes high quality cord, user manual, plastic storage bag, and white storage box. (But no charging block included.) No offensive smell. Charges easily. Works for four 30-minute intervals until it needs its first charge.It feels as good to my back as water submersion heat, like from a hot tub, with no need to change into a swim suit!Excellent quality and performance throughout. 5 stars!

So many heating pads out there are small "spot treatment" pads that don't provide good coverage. This one, on the other hand, is quite large and covers the whole lumbar area of my lower back. The heat output is actually fairly good and on the highest setting I can feel the heat seeping deep into the muscles--especially if I wear it while sitting down and the pad is pressed into my back by my chair. The lowest setting was pretty much useless for me, but the middle and high settings provide good warmth. The pad also heats quickly--less than 5 minutes from time of being turned on until it's at a decent heat. The automatic timer is a nice feature as well so you don't accidentally leave it on too long.The only real downside (and the reason I deducted one star) is that the pad is quite bulky in front. The band that wraps around front is almost as big as the pad in the back. This means if you've got a little bit of a tummy (like I do) that you end up feeling a bit squished/compressed when you put the heating pad on.

I received this and it does not work. It does not charge and won’t turn on, rendering it useless.
