Let me just for what I paid for it it really did the job . Used on Texas city dike road at night using poping cork . Did really well .

Absolute garbage. I've used it primarily on low setting. Batteries are fully charged. Light lasts about 5 minutes and then starts dimming to the point you almost can't see anything. And of course it's beyond the return period, so returning it isn't an option. Save your money, there's other inexpensive brands that work a lot better.

I give 4 stars for this product. This Headlamp is extremely bright. Definitely surpasses the brightness i imagined it would be. Works great due to the fact it's not having to be held in my hand while I try to work. It is somewhat uncomfortable on the forehead. But overall a great product.

Reviewing: KODIAK 1000 Lumen Rechargeable Headlamp – LEDI love THIS lamp. It is one of the few headlamps or flashlights I’ve ever tested that actually seems brighter than advertised. I use this thing every chance I get. It has replaced the ungainly 6-pound searchlight we once used when brightness mattered most. I have found it also makes one heck of a bicycle headlight when I find myself riding at night; common velcro cable ties adhere reliably to the included headband, allowing me to securely mount this light nearly anywhere. The push-pull focus instantly changes from flood to spot and anywhere in between. Make no mistake, this is a BIG light; think of something a coal miner might wear. The secure headgear with its wide bands and complete adjustability makes it easy and comfortable to carry the weight. Battery lasts for several hours on low setting.Pros: BRIGHT! (brightest portable light I own). Two light levels plus a highly disorienting strobe (possibly for if you come across some creature or person you would like to confuse?). Red marker light on back of battery is highly visible to the rear, without ruining the night vision of people behind you. Instantly adjustable beam. Big button can be operated with gloves. Recharges with a standard USB-C cable, but can also use alkaline batteries in a pinch. Rechargeable 18650 cells are replaceable, and do not need to be removed to charge. Highly water resistant. Outstanding value, outperforms lights costing much more.Cons: Kinda heavy and bulky; while comfortable to wear, it doesn't easily fit in most coat pockets. No “lock” function to prevent inadvertent activation in luggage or backpack (a small piece of paper inserted between the cells and terminals serves the same purpose with just a little more hassle). Easy to temporarily blind colleagues, even on the lowest setting, even if you’re accustomed to headlamps (this is also the first time I’ve wondered if a lamp needs an even lower “low” setting). Minor gripe: I’d like to see the battery and lamp portion connected by a detachable, replaceable cord rather than a fixed one, but I can’t have everything (this lamp comes close enough).

This headlamp was a lot better than I thought it would be. Other than the clam shell packaging (difficult to get open), it's pretty impressive right out of the box.It's a little heavy, but that makes sense because it's an extremely bright light, which probably needs a bit more power than some of the cheaper/less bright models that can run on a button battery. The battery pack sits at the back of your head, and although it's heavy, it's not uncomfortable at all when you're wearing it. The headlamp itself is the same...heavy when you pick it up but it sits nicely on your head is comfortable. I had this on for about 30 minutes, and it didn't bother me a bit...at first I thought it would because it is so heavy, but the straps are designed nicely and work well to combat the weight.The best thing about this is that it's bright...SUPER bright. I was using it to light up some intricate details of very small items I was working on, and it was so bright I could have easily worked on these items in a completely darkened room. I was flashing around to the corners of the room I was in, and it lit up everything (actually discovered we need to dust a little better in some places!).You can easily adjust the size of the light -- it just pushes in and out. The further out you have it, the wider the light, and the closer in you have it, the narrower. It also has a couple of modes -- max brightness, less bright (I would say about half), and flashing.Be warned that it does get a little warm. Again this isn't the average headlight -- it's much brighter, so along with the weight it's probably natural to expect it to be a little warmer than its less bright equivalents.The battery is rechargeable and easy to charge (port in the pack on the back with a rubber gasket that you open). I didn't use it for extended periods, but for the half hour I did use it, it only took about 5 minutes to get it to go from red to green on the charger, so I'm thinking that the battery will last quite a while on this.All in all a great little headlamp!

This thing is awesome. I have so many headlamps in my tool cabinet drawer, but this one is now my favorite. First off, it is BRIGHT. It has three different modes, but when I'm using a headlamp, all I care about is having the brightest light possible for the longest time possible. This one covers both needs for me. It is brighter than any of my other headlamps, and hasn't dimmed on me at all, even during a 3 hour car repair. I don't know exactly how long the light would last, as I end up plugging it in for the night whenever I complete a repair. But one thing's for sure...it hasn't let me down yet. Worth the money.
